Read more...Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience. I absolutely understand that things sometimes does not go right, but even after fixing my hair, it was just not right.
Basically, what happened is that I booked full head highlights, my hair were a bit grown already, but it's naturally blond so usually it is not a problem.
Once done, day after I realise that the part where new highlights were applied was completely different colour than rest of my hair, so went back for correction. They used different toner, that did not really do the job, it was slightly better but still very noticeable. I already felt awful but for that money I wanted my hair done properly. I have been told that it is because of the shade of my hair at the end and that's normal, and if I want to correct it, I have to wait another month for an appointment. I was shocked and told them that I would get it done somewhere else. To that they sad oh cool, bye...

I’ve been having my haircut by Simon the man himself for quite a while now. Every visit is painless and everything is well considered, from the greeting, being escorted up to the salon to the consultation and offer of a complimentary coffee. The salon vibe is bustling and energetic which match the design aesthetic and the staff. All one has to do is sit, enjoy the experience of having a master cut one’s hair and leave, feeling like a brand new king.
From the moment you walk through the door it’s an experience. Coffee which is excellent, front of house staff who are attentive and engaging. Simon has transformed my hair and it’s never been so healthy! I appreciate that we have such a cool place in my home town!
Tuckwell managed to fit me in recently to have my colour done as my original stylist came down sick, and wow did Rebecca do a fantastic job. She understood what I was looking for results wise with my bleach and tone, and provided some excellent home care recommendations - well recommend the same and the team always professional, and enthusiastic 🤩
i get my hair done here, the salon is absolutely beautiful!!!!! the team is incredible and work so hard to make the experience the best it can be. i will 100% be getting my hair done here from now on.

Rebecca was just amazing! She listened to what I wanted, gave me some advice on what she thought would look the best. I’ve never walked out a hairdressers actually happy with my hair! Couldn’t recommend Rebecca enough, she’s now my new go to hairdresser ?
I've been recommended this salon by multiple friends so thought I'd try it out. I had a consultation prior to my appointment and was very specific about what I wanted. I honestly have no idea why and how I left the salon looking the way I did, with the stylist thinking they did a good job. I thought it'll be okay after I wash and style my hair myself, but I ended up in tears instead. The cut was wonky, not what I asked for and my hair was a horrible orange-purple colour instead of platinum blonde. I went back to have the cut fixed and the colour corrected which was okay but still not what I originally asked for. My hair has since become very weak and brittle, and the cut is still uneven in places. I will not return to this place again.

I was quite skeptical regarding dye my hair, didn't know where to go & whom should I ask. Then I came across Rebecca and all my doubts flown away. She has done a great job with my hair what exceeded my expectation. She is absolutely keen to details and knows her job pretty well. I'll definitely recommend her and I'll be coming back to her in future.
Rebecca transformed my hair! I loved it. She sat me down for consultation made sure I was happy with the colours and went into real depth about the tone that would suit my complexion. All round lovely girl and great to have a chat with too !

Worst experience ever…!
I went to this salon for 3 years religiously because I trusted them completely. The last time I went I was completely distraught with what I received. My hair cut was SO BAD! Like I’d cut in myself…would've saved myself £62 (just for the haircut). And I would’ve saved myself £175 overall…a lot of money for major disappointment. I asked for layers and it was so blocky. When I messaged to ask for a fix or a refund I was ignored multiple times, really bad customer service and I was really upset. Ended up going elsewhere and paying more money. For a student this is difficult, I save up a lot of my money for this and feel completely disappointed by the service given.

I have been going to Shannon for 3 years now, and currently drive 3 hours from Hampshire for our appointments! I am never disappointed and always leave with my hair looking amazing even on the days when I just tell her a really vague instruction. She is amazing. As always all the staff at Tuckwell are super nice and friendly.

I always feel a million dollars after being in Tuckwell&Co and seeing Derek Rae. He always makes me feel fabulous and shares many hints and tips to maintain that salon look between visits.
The whole place just has a wonderfully welcoming vibe and the team are so warm and friendly. It's even better now that I can have a cheeky glass of fizz whilst I'm having my pampering experience.

Sarah cut my hair and she did an absolutely wonderful job, I get really anxious going for haircuts incase they go wrong but she did an amazing job and I've never had a cut like that in my life. The salon aswell is really nice, upstairs and down, and has a really nice atmosphere. I will be back, thank you!!
I had a really great time at the salon, Ell always knows what I’m asking for and explains the process the whole way through which is reassuring. I did never get a cup of tea I was offered though! But overall I really enjoyed getting my hair done and I would recommend Ell to anyone
