Layla has done my hair the past couple of times and no matter what style or colour I go she always tells me what the best way to do it or if it’s a realistic idea she never harms my hair to just make me happy she’ll do what is closest to what I want but without damaging my hair in the long run you can always trust she’ll do what’s best for you and within your budget

My hair had grown out too much and I’d had a colour disaster. Jess managed to restyle in a way that made the colour feel deliberate. I felt lighter and more stylish. She really listened. I would recommend Jess to anyone.

Have been a customer for a long time now. Very friendly professional people who know how to treat customers like they are all “special” and, of course, not forgetting that they listen to you as a customer and do exactly what you want doing with your hair. I have never once left the salon disappointed.

Sarah has been cutting my hair for around 16 years, on and off. We've built a good client/hairdresser relationship over those years which is invaluable. I'm so pleased she's returned to S&B as it's been like a sort of homecoming for me, too.

Amazing haircut as usual.

I love the way Andrew cuts and styles my hair, it always looks fantastic. But I figure the real test is when I come to wash and dry it myself a few days later - well it’s looking just as good as when I left the salon. Thank you!

As always, Andrew listens carefully and then delivers a superb cut. His advice is knowledgeable and helpful and he’s honest about what works and what doesn’t!

I had a bleach regrowth and treatment and cut and blow dry with Kath. Kath used to do my hair about 6 months ago and she did an amazing job then. I went back to her as the salon where I went before kept getting the toners wrong, my hair kept going jinger and purple and silver from the toners. Kath immediately sorted the problem out for me, Kath used the correct bleach and toner for my hair. I love the colour of my hair. Kath all so cut my hair which looks healthy now it’s has a cut and Kath applied some Kérastase serum to my hair to protect it from breakage and using heated appliances, I allready use the Kerastase thermique which is really good it protects my hair from heat. The serum Kath used was Kérastase and it protects your hair from breakage, it made my hair very shiny, I will deff be buying that on my next visit, and I’m looking forward to Kath recommending me with other Kerastase products on my next visit. Customer service skills was absolutely amazing, Kath went above and beyond with my hair. Thank you very much,

I’ve been coming to the salon for a few years now. I’m really happy with the service. Kirsty made me cry today as I loved my hair so much. I now have a lot of greys and she made me feel great about my hair again. She listens to what I want, manages my expectations so there are no surprises and adapts my ideas to suit my hair. Have used Jess for years and always so pleased with how she does my hair. Today was extra special. Had an operation last week resulting in stitches around my ear and neck. Had not washed my hair for 10 days as worried about wetting the stitches. Jess dealt with this so sensitively, as I knew she would, and I came away feeling so much better, she is a real tonic!

Sarah really has the magic touch, every visit she comes up with something new to keep my colour super-fresh. She's an excellent stylist, second to none. Friendly and professional, a all round super star.

A friend recommended Sutherland and Barnett a few years ago and it's the best hairdressers I've been to. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are excellent. I highly recommend the smoothing hair treatment. It has been a game changer for making my hair shiny, smooth and much more manageable.

Absolutely love this salon. Lovely professional and friendly. Kath is amazing. She cut my daughter's hair the way we asked her to and in the end gave her amazing curls that my daughter was absolutely delighted with. Definitely recommend!

From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you get the salon experience! Love the staff, love the salon, love the stylists! My stylist Sarah ive followed for years now and it’s safe to say she will have the pleasure for years to come! she gets what I need hair wise and is amazing 🤩, love her! . Some stylist struggle with my hair, as there’s a lot of it but Sarah can completely handle it (even if I have been rained on and it’s a right mess) also the atmosphere is great and feel like I’ve been pampered especially with the massage chairs! So great job 👏 all round ! 10/10

Firstly what a lovely freindly place. Everyone had genuine smiles on their faces. My hairdresser Sarah was a delight through the whole process including a very good consultation. Really listened to what I wanted and I am so chuffed with the results. For info I had a cut and colour.
