TONI&GUY YORK opened in the town in 1998.

We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service. Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice on the latest trends and services.

Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

Members of our Colour team hold the prestigious Wella master colour expert-their knowledge and expertise are on hand to advise you on the latest colours and techniques.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair, the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry and Microlinks/ring Tape extensions. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, Wella, Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. Good vibe , great colourist and good coffee ! The only thing Toni and guy York is lacking is the hair wash bit . In comparison to other Toni and guys in London and the world it's lacking the salon hair wash experience ! It should be relaxing , water should not be splashed in your face ( I have no water proof mascara ) the massage is a 2 out of ten . I get my hair cut at bang and the hair wash is a much more pleasant experience ! I just think the hair wash people need a bit of guidance .

I returned to this salon this week after not being for a while due to becoming a little disillusioned under the previous ownership. I’m so pleased I did. Claire was brilliant, she helped me decide on a new style that compliments my features, she also took time to give me advice on cleansing and styling. The cut is amazing and I’ve found it really easy to manage myself!

I’d really love to say that I love my haircut, but unfortunately I think this will have to be my second and last T&G experience! I asked for a blunt bob, and ***** explained that as I have quite thick hair it might look a bit ‘triangular’ as it grew for me to have it all once length. I explained my reservations with layers due to having naturally wavy/frizzy hair, but agreed to long layers to take some weight out. Unfortunately that’s not quite what I have, and whilst it looked quite nice in the salon, the humid air outside meant all my -short!! - layers bounced straight up, which is exactly why I didn’t want them put in. I have gone home and had a cry and I will just have to wait for it to grow. It can’t be fixed, and it’s definitely definitely not a blunt bob. My feedback would be for ***** to listen to what her client asks for. I won’t take it any further because I should have said something when I was concerned the layers were being cut too short (they are about 3 inches!!) but that’s a lesson learned for me. It is upsetting though!

Tilly has been my stylist for around three years now and I’ve never been disappointed! Absolutely fantastic service by all staff from the receptionists to the traininees! Tilly knows me very well now and always takes the time to ask me exactly what I’m looking for even though I often have the same style of cut and she finishes it off beautifully with lovely flowing curls as she knows that I struggle to do them myself!

My 3rd appointment with Amber and each time the condition of my hairs is getting better it was a right state when I had my first appointment in Jan. good cut, good consultation. haven't had my hair cut my a proper hairdresser on 10 years because I couldn't find one I liked but I'll be coming back to see amber.
