Jess coloured my hair put some gold hilights and dark brown to fade my patchy grey stripes . Have very thick Curley long hair this is not an easy task .
She was attentive to my needs and wants understanding my dark brown hair grey worries . With it been so long . This is the second time she has done my hair very understanding to my concerns I’m a nervous client but don’t show it . She throughly understands I don’t want a block all over color done or just my roots . Very happy with the results and done in a good time may be next Tim I pay attention to the area behind my ears as well for when I put my hair up . I do appreciate it’s difficult as it’s so long and thick .
After Ashley cut my hair this fabulous man has been cutting my hair for 30 years he always gives 💯 % very attention and understanding now’s my hair well great with a Curley cut also very good about recommending products to achieve salon looks at home . I recommend him so much . Very happy

Professional all round salon service and experience

I have been going to Saks for some time now and would not go anywhere else. The service I receive is second to none. Robyn offers a proper consultation and asks me every time if I am happy with my hair and we discuss all options. She never assumes I want the same thing. I am offered a drink of my choosing? The latest magazines and a hair massage and style of my choice every time. This is not a normal hairdresser. It is an oasis of relaxation and pamper. I look forward to my appointment and always leave happy.

Love visiting Saks. On this visit I saw Holly for my colour and Ashley for my cut. Both so lovely and easy to talk to. Looking forward to my next visit ☺️

Excellent service as always, really enjoyable experience. Emma was very professional and friendly when washing my hair, plenty of refreshments offered. Chatty and interested in what I had to say. Great cut from Ashley, always takes care to get it right and make sure I’m happy with it.

First visit, was passing by and stopped in with my boys , Ashley cut my 9year olds hair and did a great job, very friendly and accommodating lovely girl on reception that offered us drinks would definitely be going back

Ashley is the best hairdresser I’ve ever gone too. Not only does he do a brilliant job, but he talks me through exactly what he’s doing, why he’s doing it & the expected results (which are always accurate).
Along with a warm inviting atmosphere provided by the whole team, Saks York is the best hairdressers in York & I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.

My 10 year old daughter absolutely loves coming for her hair cut with Robyn. Robyn genuinely really listens to everything she has to say and advises her as to the styles. She always comes away with a beaming smile and loving every second.

I too come away smiling after having half an hour of sitting with a lovely coffee maybe a Prosecco and gossip magazines!

Been a customer for many years but never feel taken for granted. The staff are always welcoming in a relaxing environment. Highly recommended.

Had a fab visit to the salon on Thursday afternoon. It was really calm and relaxed. I felt very cared for. And also, just as importantly I left feeling very happy with my hair. Thanks to Holly and her other colleague (whose name I didn’t catch but she was lovely too).

I think a business that goes the extra mile and pride themselves on their clients, focusing on their wants and needs, the overall experience and welcome feedback to improve will always carry a label nothing short of OUTSTANDING.

If you don’t care much for an awesome hair style and not too fussed for a great overall experience. Then Saks is probably not for you.

My hair was taken from shoulder length to very short today. Robyn talked me through every part of the process and gave me advice on how to keep it looking good. I feel like a new woman!

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating of my additional needs, Ashley took their time to go find out what I was wanting. He made me feel at ease which is something I normally struggle with which in social situations. Ashley took the time to go through all the steps I'd need to be able to take care of my hair in a way that i could understand. I've never had my hair cut by someone that understands what works best for my hair and I can't thank enough for how much it's improved my confidence. Also that ices oat milk mocha was amazing.

Holly is not only amazing at what she does, but she’s absolutely lovely and very friendly.

I love the whole experience too - the location is handy; the salon looks great and there's a lovely friendly feel to it; I love the background music; and the staff are all very friendly and professional and amazing at what they do.
