I don’t usually write negative reviews, if you haven’t got anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.
But I really feel I need to say something. I left here today feeling upset and really disappointed... I booked an appointment this morning for a mini pedicure, was chuffed that I’d manage to get in on the same day.
On their website is says £18 for a mini pedicure and the receptionist confirmed that. I said that I didn’t want shellac (knowing this would be more expensive) and could I have normal polish. The receptionist said this was fine but they only have a small choice of polish, which was fine by me.
I arrived for my appointment and thought the place was lovely. Rachel was very friendly and professional. I had my mini pedicure which consisted of cuticle remover, a mini foot scrub, moisturiser and polish. I was then charged £33, I didn’t question this at first as was taken a back at the price difference I expected. When I did question it the receptionist told me this was the price and that she never told me it was £18 and that a pedicure and shellac is £33 and having the polish is the same price, she also told me shellac doesn’t last longer (which we all know does) as I would of got the shellac if I knew I was paying the same price. When I asked her to show me their prices there wasn’t even a £33 pedicure on there her words were ‘oh you’ve actually got £2 off’ there was no apology she actually made me feel like a liar. She then got the owner for me who also made me feel really bad, once again no apology for any confusion. I’ve left there feeling really ripped off, sad and disappointed. It would be nice to now how they can also justify £15 for a nail polish and if they went from their prices on the website it would of been £17 for nail polish (not shellac) Such a shame as I was looking forward to coming back and having some more treatments.

Absolutely love every experience I have ever had at Mettyears. Today I was in for a hair up with Amy and it’s safe to say she didn’t disappoint. Was more than happy with the outcome. I always look forward to my next visit at Mettyears. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming, it’s a real family unit.

I had a balayage colour with Leah today and she has done the most beautiful job, I am so happy with the end result. I have had a few bad experiences with balayage at other salons, so I am always hesitant when booking with a new stylist but Leah knows exactly what she is doing. A total pro! It looks natural, perfectly blended with no blocks of colour, exactly how I wanted. Thank you so much!

The facial was great, my skin is glowing and the wrinkles are nicely plumped up. The oxygen is a strange, but not unpleasant sensation, and cold!
My only criticism of the treatment room is the bright lighting that shines down on you, would be lovely to have something less harsh directly above. And perhaps the room could be warmer.

Went from hair to my bum to hair to my shoulder with half head balayage and olaplex and my hair has never looked or felt better

I had not had a haircut for over a year, so when I saw a Groupon for a local salon I was keen to visit. Sharon was great.. she advised me what was right for my hair but still managed to meet my requests. Excellent professional service with a lovely head massage too. I am very happy!
