I visited the academy training school yesterday for a colour and a cut and blow dry.
The student looking after me was not confident and her hands were shaking while applying the colour and wrapping in foils and again when doing the cut. Instead of being worried , I was out at ease as Michelle who was supervising her that day was on hand when ever she was needed for advice, instruction or affirmation that she was doing alright. Michelle’s supervision style was not to crowd or sit on the student’s shoulder but to give her space and to regularly walk past praising her efforts.
I left really pleased with my new look and received compliments from my family as well as on a zoom work call earlier today.

My hair was cut just as i asked and i am so pleased with the result

I had a lovely morning with Casey she treated me very well and kept me topped up with tea and magazines, she was very professional and was lovely to chat too , I love my new perm and hope to see her next time . She also does a wonderful head and shoulder massage.

I received a warm welcome and was looked after throughout my cut & blow dry. Every stage was explained to me. I feel very privileged to be a part of the training of these young people.

Some body and umph put into my hair by a very pleasant young third year, who was very concerned with my comfort and massaged my scalp and shoulders. I do not have colour on my hair and l think it unlikely that l could be so persuaded

Been using Masterclass for 2.5 years now and I can
highly recommend them. The girls are all very pleasant and do a good job, being checked and advised as necessary. It is also a very good price.

Have had 4 visits so far at the Academy, each one has been excellent. The girls are supported very well and I have no worries how my hair is going to look when finished. Highly recommended have booked my next 2 appts.

Belle was attentive and more assured than when I had her last. She kept her supervisor, Michelle, appraised at each stage for guidance. Belle did a great job with my colour (3 colours & a root colour) and the cut as I had requested minimal cut.
I am never disappointed with the service given by the Hair Ott Master Class.

Always enjoy visiting the salon. Everyone is friendly and always get a great haircut. The trainees do a brilliant job.

You are made to feel at ease and you are listened to when discussing what you would like done to your hair. And the stylists may be training but they are always professional and caring.

Once again really pleased with the cut and colour. My hair isn't easy as the front is pure white and metal grey at the back. They put semi permanent colour on the back and toner on the front and the silver grey colour looks very natural. Really good cut as well and i feel so much better.

As always Ali, Michelle and the girls are a delight. They always make you feel so welcome and take their time to teach their students in a kind and patient manner. The salon feels like one big happy family as does Otto's other salons that I have visited over the years. Well done to everyone you all work so hard and make my six weekly visits always a pleasure. I've been going to Hair Ott since Otto first opened in the 70's in Portsmouth. I've stayed a customer since then and have had a perfect haircut every time. Every one is so friendly and kind and take care in their work. If I was Otto I would be very proud of my staff. Thank you to everyone for great haircuts over the years!

I always have a relaxing time and come away with a lovely hairstyle. The tutors and students are all very polite and welcoming.

I've been having my hair done at the Masterclass Academy for a while now.
The service is excellent.
The trainee hairdressers are very keen, and willing to learn. They treat the customer very well, and are overseen by experienced professional and qualified hairdressers.
I allow extra time in my appointment so that I am not rushing.
