I've been a regular to Trevour Mitchell's since friends modelled for Trevour during International competitions in the 80s, when based on the Northside of Hanover Buildings Salon.
I've received consistently great scissor work skills from many of his personally trained apprentices and staff who then set up franchises in partnership with him throughout the region, where I also sort out great skills, back in the day. (Early days of clippers, the demise of traditional barber and hairdressing basic scissor skills I guess)
After Trevour's passing, I have continued to trust my reduced hairline to the also reduced empire, only later learning that Angela, was at school with my late sister, Hazel.
All the team at Trevor Mitchell are friendly and exceedingly adept at everything they do, from having my nails manicured, having the colour put in my hair, to the excellent cut and style I can always rely on Angela to give me. Oh, and I get a lovely, much needed cup of coffee as well!
After going to a salon in Hedge End and unhappy with my cut, my daughter in law recommended Angela at Trevor Mitchell Bedford Place. Angela was great really listened to what I wanted and I am so pleased with the cut. Won’t be going anywhere else in the future. It’s a joy to come here. I regularly have my hair cut and styled with Olivia, and bring my girls to have their cut with Olivia and Julia. Nothing is too much trouble for these ladies ! I often let Olivia decide the colour and cut (because she has such a good eye as to what works) and I have never been disappointed. Like today, I returned home to a “your hair looks so good” from my husband.
I asked my children what their liked and they said:
My youngest: “They are brilliant. I come out looking fancy”
My eldest: “They cut my hair so well and I love it being styled after”

I’ve had my hair cut, l traditionally, at Trevour Mitchel’s for most of the last 40 years. My initial introduction was via a couple of guys with both great hair and features and Trevour featured them at competitions at the time.
Trevour Mitchell’s at Hanover Building, Northside, soon became my go to place. Unlike my modelling friends, I wasn’t after the latest style or fashion, I was more interested in Trevour’s scissor work and how over the next few decades, he was responsible for nurturing and training some of the industry’s’ finest.
Since he passed away, I have continued to frequently visit and during a conversation it was established that the proprietor and my sister were friends at school. Small World - Great Haircut.

After years wondering from salon to salon, I finally landed at Trevor Mitchell. Olivia cut my hair before an important event and did such a great job that I've been going back to her since. As usual, a lovely experience. As well as nails, I had eyebrows tinted and a full face threading. I felt very pampered.
I feel so fortunate to have such a good salon quite near me. Angela does the impossible - makes my hair look good, even after chemo, and losing it all for a while. From cutting my wigs so I could wear them when I lost my hair, to now making my "new" hair look like a chic style - so much so that people keep commenting on how great my hair looks - I think she is a miracle worker. It is a wonderful salon. Special thanks to Julie too for using henna on my hair so it has a fabulous glow and looks really healthy. Lovely, friendly team.
