Fantastic haircut by Helen as always!

I had a great experience at Strands today. Started with a warm welcoming reception at arrival. My stylist Danielle welcomed with a warm smile as soon as I came in the saloon. She is highly professional but in a friendly and respectful way and takes the clients opnions to heart. While she works gently on my hear she listens with genuine interest to the client chat and shows interest in him/ her as a person. I felt relaxed and pampered and couldn't ask for any better service. A bit of background music would have made the experience a perfect one.

Danielle has transformed my hair from yellow, brassy, over treated blonde to classy, sophistaced, low maintenance balyage. Great salon with great staff, product range & knowledge. What was lovely was how genuinely thrilled she was with the transformation. Great attention to detail. Can't wait for my next visit in November.

The foils were top class, colour is fab. Although I was a bit confused that this didn't include having my hair blowdried at the end? Surely clients should walk out looking fab and not a fuzzy half dried mess. Had to come home and dry my own hair and straighten it. For this reason I wouldn't go back. I also felt that the salon didn't have a great atmosphere. It was quiet and nobody made any conversation.

Always love going to strands, good discussion about what I'm hoping to achieve, the best head massage, relaxing atmosphere, always pleased with result, and a lovely cuppa!!!

Strands is the best hair salon that I've ever been to in my life, and I'm 67 years old!
Everyone from the owner right down to the newest apprentice is friendly and attentive and everyone gets on so well that there is always a really great family atmosphere.
I'm disabled and they all look after me so we'll, I love them all.

My first time in the salon and I will definitely be going back. I was a little early, greeted by smiles, service was fantastic and a perfect job to my hair.

Having had a disastrous haircut at another hairdresser I decided to try Strands, Whiteley. Danielle was brilliant, she understood why I was so unhappy with my hair so she worked her magic and I left with a fabulous style. Delicious coffee too.

Always love how friendly the staff are, they remember you and talk to you. I never mind who does my hair as they are all so good and well trained - real perfectionists which I love when it comes to my hair!

Attempted to write a great review but just noticed it only has 3 stars!! Error input.

Been coming to strands for 6 months or so now & originally tried because it's local. Haven't been able to find anywhere that's been able to cut my hair how I want it for years.. until I visited strands. Alice cuts my hair regularly now and is very, very good. Always happy, easy to talk to and cuts my hair exactly how I want it cut. She is an asset to strands. The rest of the team are also very polite & welcoming. Wouldn't ever go anywhere else!

Both my daughter and I had a really good experience this afternoon and we're really pleased with our hair.

I came in on Saturday for a consultation and showed the stylist what I wanted which was balyage starting from mid length and some light bits running through the top about 3 inches from the root, what I ended up with looks like highlights all over an inch from my root. Staff were friendly but seems my consultation was a waste of time as I don't have what I asked for. Now I have bleach all over my hair and will have to wait about a year for it to grow out to what I wanted. I was in the salon 5.5 hours and still don't have the result I wanted. Was told I could come back if not happy but there isn't much to be done about bleach all over my head. Not impressed.

I an a frequent visitor to the Hillhead Strands salon but have not been to the Whiteley salon for some time. Although many of the staff were unfamiliar to me, the high standards of friendliness and excellent customer service that I have always had at Strands were clearly evident throughout my visit. I was really pleased with my colour and cut.

Lovely hair cut, lovely service and great products used.

I have been seeing Alice for my hair since the beginnning of the year, I came to strands in the hope they could fix my balyage which another hair dresser did and ruined.
Thankfully my hair is now amazing, Alice is a miracle worker- lovely girl, great and what she does and great attention to detail.

My hair was in awful condition and I'm not really sure it had a style anymore, just a grown out, dry mess! Alice did a brilliant balyage and gave my hair a good chop - The makeover it needed! Thanks very much Strands Whiteley. Lovely salon xx
