Great salon and would highly recommend. Laylah always provides exceptional service when I go in for a colour and cut.

I loved every second of my Edward James visit and the hours it took to have balayage and keratin done flew by in a calming and beautiful environment. Everyone in the salon is professional, kind and brilliant at what they do and Ed’s hands are absolutely magical. I can’t wait to be back.

I was looked after so well by Dejan and his team. It was my first visit but I will definitely return.

I really find it annoying to pay so much and then be left as stylist has other customers. Colour was left in hair, dry was rushed and awful. Not what I expected.

Laylah never ceases to amazing me with how well she colours and cuts my hair. I started going to Laylah before my wedding to bring my hair back to life after a bad experience at another salon in London, and from day dot she has understood what my hair has needed and what colours would suit me. Needless to say, Laylah has more than delivered each time! I truly wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair the way I trust Laylah. And, on top of being a talented hair stylist, she is just a fantastic person! Would recommend her and the salon to everyone!

Brenda was really sweet, she listened to what I wanted, made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Salon very nice and colouring good. Let down at the end though by being handed over to another girl to dry my hair who seemed very inexperienced. Not the polished end to my appointment I would have expected.

I had my hair coloured by Edward. As always he was able to give me the look I desired. I came out of the salon pampered and well looked after and with shiny and vibrant looking hair. I wouldn’t go any where else!

Laylah is my hero hairdresser - I have been seeing Laylah for over 3 years at Edward James and my hair has never looked better. She is such a talent. Her balayage skills are second to none and I always leave the salon with my dream hair. Laylah is full of tons of helpful advice and each and every appointment I have with her is always such a pleasure. I love the team at Edward James, the customer service from Artur and Maxine is always impeccable and the massages heavenly. I rave about you to all my friends and couldn’t recommend highly enough!

After having my bleached honey blonde highlights, Danny has been keeping my hair intact and on my head. Olaplex and a curly trim in such a relaxing atmosphere is probably just what the doctor orderd.

I love the ambiance of the salon. The session starts with a relaxing head and neck massage. The salon uses Aveda products which is a massive plus.

Layla is a fantastic stylist. She listens and communicates clearly. I am happy for her to make recommendations when having my hair coloured as I know I can trust her judgement. She never cuts my hair too short either; a common problem with a lot of hairdressers.

I would not hesitate to recommend.

Olivia was so lovely! I am a really anxious person and was very nervous as had never had her as a stylist before and have been with Edward for a very long time... She was so lovely and reassuring and my hair looks amazing!

After a year of waiting to improve the health of my hair, Danny and I finally got around to giving me bleached honey blond highlights. My hair type is ultra-fine, ultra-dry, high density, high porosity 4c pen spring coils. My hair is quite fragile naturally and I was quite anxious about any hair loss due to the bleach. Danny was his calm reassuring self and advised me to use the Olaplex 3 in the deep conditioner that I do once a week. Now I have a fresh colour and cut for summer! Thank you so much!

Natalie and the team took such wonderful care of my daughter, as they always do. She stepped out of the salon with a fabulous hair style that -simply put - made her and me incredibly happy. It doesn’t get better than that.

Hello.

From booking online, I was under the impression that I would be paying 115 pounds for a balayage. I added the Olaplex Treatment, that was on 50%, so that was meant to be an extra 15 pounds.

So a total of 130 pounds for my blonde balayage.

But I didn't get told that it depended on the stylist, so that was 25 pounds extra. The toner was also around 25 pounds extra, without my knowledge. So I paid a total of 180 pounds, instead of the expected 130 pounds.

This ruined the whole experience for me, because it felt like being tricked into paying more.

I also didn't get the cold blonde balayage, as I hopd for, but the stylist did explain that this might be a prosess. Even though I have had a balayage before with the same desired outcome.

The customer service was great though, when it comes to the massage and being taken care of. I just wish that you would be more upfront with your customers about your prices, so I know what to expect.

Brenda was awesome - she took the time to ask what I was after, and used her expertise to suggest styles to suit me better. This was my first time at Edward James and I’ll be back!

I have been visiting the Putney salon for a few years now and won’t go anywhere else, even though it can take me up to an hour and a half to get there!
The team are friendly and professional and Tolomani (Freddy) is the BEST stylist! As someone who was very distrusting of hairdressers due to an incident many years ago, Freddy always makes me look and feel fabulous by the time I leave.
You don’t just get a haircut it’s a whole pampering experience!

Colour was amazing g and I really like the salon; but my hair wasn’t rinsed properly (please re-teach the shampoo-er), so have to re rinse tve remanini g product out.
