Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The amazing Faith did my balayage, she listened to what I didn’t like about my current colour and understood exactly the tone and look I wanted to achieve as the end result, she nailed it!

I love Natalie and the team.. Natalie is a brilliant stylist, my hair has never looked better, the cut and color is perfect for me.. shes also very compassionate and engaged with her clients personally! I get so many compliments about my hair each day.. I will never go anywhere else.. and everyone who works there is talented and I know if I have any other stylist do my hair they will be great too.. Olivia was so lovely! I am a really anxious person and was very nervous as had never had her as a stylist before and have been with Edward for a very long time... She was so lovely and reassuring and my hair looks amazing!

After a year of waiting to improve the health of my hair, Danny and I finally got around to giving me bleached honey blond highlights. My hair type is ultra-fine, ultra-dry, high density, high porosity 4c pen spring coils. My hair is quite fragile naturally and I was quite anxious about any hair loss due to the bleach. Danny was his calm reassuring self and advised me to use the Olaplex 3 in the deep conditioner that I do once a week. Now I have a fresh colour and cut for summer! Thank you so much!

Natalie and the team took such wonderful care of my daughter, as they always do. She stepped out of the salon with a fabulous hair style that -simply put - made her and me incredibly happy. It doesn’t get better than that.

Hello.

From booking online, I was under the impression that I would be paying 115 pounds for a balayage. I added the Olaplex Treatment, that was on 50%, so that was meant to be an extra 15 pounds.

So a total of 130 pounds for my blonde balayage.

But I didn't get told that it depended on the stylist, so that was 25 pounds extra. The toner was also around 25 pounds extra, without my knowledge. So I paid a total of 180 pounds, instead of the expected 130 pounds.

This ruined the whole experience for me, because it felt like being tricked into paying more.

I also didn't get the cold blonde balayage, as I hopd for, but the stylist did explain that this might be a prosess. Even though I have had a balayage before with the same desired outcome.

The customer service was great though, when it comes to the massage and being taken care of. I just wish that you would be more upfront with your customers about your prices, so I know what to expect.

Brenda was awesome - she took the time to ask what I was after, and used her expertise to suggest styles to suit me better. This was my first time at Edward James and I’ll be back!

As ever a glorious morning spent in the Putney Edward James Salon. The staff so friendly & attentive & Ed as entertaining & creative as always. Left feeling on top of the world with a glossy slick bob, thank you all ?

I have been visiting the Putney salon for a few years now and won’t go anywhere else, even though it can take me up to an hour and a half to get there!
The team are friendly and professional and Tolomani (Freddy) is the BEST stylist! As someone who was very distrusting of hairdressers due to an incident many years ago, Freddy always makes me look and feel fabulous by the time I leave.
You don’t just get a haircut it’s a whole pampering experience!

Colour was amazing g and I really like the salon; but my hair wasn’t rinsed properly (please re-teach the shampoo-er), so have to re rinse tve remanini g product out.

Amazing haircut! Lovely staff and such a great hairdresser. Brenda really listened to what I wanted with my hair and completely followed that whilst also giving advice on what would look best, I am so pleased with it. She did an amazing job! I felt completely pampered with the head/shoulder massage and Prosecco! I will definitely be returning!

My 9-year-old daughter had the most wonderful experience - as always. Natalie and the team took great care of her and her fabulous bob looks a million dollars!

Yesterday I came in for a haircut, everyone was super lovely and the massage was amazing. I’m just a little disappointed with the result as it’s not what I was hoping for. I asked for a shag haircut so was expecting lots of shorter layers, but I basically just had a trim of my existing longer layers. This is probably my fault for not being clearer but I felt uncomfortable speaking up as the stylist was also in the process of bleaching another clients hair and seemed distracted. I know this is normal and honestly didn’t have a problem with waiting while she checked on the other ladies bleach, but it felt like she was rushing through my treatment a little bit. She cut layers on one side of my hair, then went to check on the other ladies bleach. When she came back, she did some layers on the other side but they are noticeably longer and uneven compared to the first side. I was also hoping my curtain bangs would be blended into my layers more. At the end I wasn’t asked if I was happy with it so felt there wasn’t an opportunity to ask for changes. Overall, it’s not a bad haircut and the stylist was lovely, but it’s very expensive for something i’m not really happy with.

Good choice of colours to suit my ask.

Firstly from start to finish all the salon staff made me feel so welcome. I’ve been extremely stressed about finding a hairdresser since arriving from Australia 1 year ago. Savannah was incredible, she listened to my wants & needs and executed my vision perfectly. The complimentary massage was heavenly & nothing felt rushed. A super relaxing and enjoyable experience.
