Kate is really, really good at hair. Seriously. She is always attentive and honest during the consultation, then works with my thick hair to make a style that is manageable and looks brilliant (with zero effort!!!) for months after. I always leave feeling happy and confident, what more could anyone ask!

Overall experience at salon is nice but most recent cut was much shorter than I asked for. This has resulted in one of the worst cuts I’ve had and after a week letting it settle I honestly don’t know what to do with it and feel like it looks terrible. Disappointing as my hair grows very slowly so I’m stuck with it for awhile. Had stopped going to M&D because I felt I wasn’t being listened to and thought I would try again so it’s a shame the stylist cut so much more off than I wanted.

Mary was super kind and very patient, she listened to the ideas I had and suggested some. She did an initial cut, dried it and then went over it with me so we could make some changes. It was so helpful to see how the cut looked dry and I ended up wanted a shaggier cut! I really appreciate the time she took me and her patience

Having tried lots of different salons recently with mixed results I was a bit nervous, but Kate took the time to listen to what I wanted and explain why that might not work for me but how she could do something similar, and I was really pleased with the result, it was exactly what I was hoping for, it’ll be easy to maintain too. Very friendly and welcoming salon. However, I was very clear what I wanted, my long hair cut to an inch above my shoulders. The stylist cut it much shorter than this, at least 6 inches above my shoulders so it is chin length now. Hopefully it's grows into the cut I actually wanted quickly. I didn't say anything at the time because once it's cut there isn't really anything they can do! But I think my stylist should have taken more care to cut it the length I asked for.

I loved the vibe of the salon, staff all really friendly but I’m unhappy with my haircut. Overall length etc is nice but I asked for shaping around my face (same haircut I’ve had for 10 years) and have been left with a strange half fringe on one side that looks very random. Shame because everything else was great but don’t know if I’d go back now.
