Maisie did exactly what I wanted. That’s so rare!
First time at mayla and first time with Maisie cutting my hair. I have frizzy, thick curly hair and Maisie handled it amazingly! Gave me loads of styling tips and was very polite.
Listened to what I would like done and offered advice.
Good short cut, never had razor cut before . Also very pleasant to talk to. Pleased with results.
Brilliant experience with Lulu today - she listened to my ideas/preferences/lifestyle and made really helpful suggestions too. My cut and colour are gorgeous, the colour in particular. I had a blonde balayage that had grown out and got a bit brassy over the summer, but Lulu managed to get it a gorgeous warm creamy shade of blonde that I absolutely love and has brightened the appearance of my complexion too. Would highly recommend - thanks Lulu!

Was my first time getting my hair cut and styled in a really long time, I went in with a specific sort of hairstyle in mind, and Andrew immediately picked up on what I wanted from a brief look at a couple of pictures. He was really nice the entire time, and you could really tell and feel that he knew what he was doing. He did a really great job! The only awkward part was when I accidentally left the salon without paying, having forgotten to pay at the front desk, but I was saved by Andrew who came out to remind me (thank you so much and I am really sorry!). Will definitely be coming back!
Lulu was lovely and gave me some really useful advice on a haircut! I made quite a big change to my hair and she made me feel confident in my choices and how to style it in the future.

Enrica gave me a fantastic haircut. She walked me through every stage of the cut and gave me the option to feel my hair so I could get a sense of the weight and length.

Desperately searching for a replacement for my recently retired hair stylist of 25 years, I may have found him! Andrew listened to me, even though I had no idea of what I wanted. He offered advice and explained his reasons. I left my hair to him and left he salon with a complete refresh. It feels and looks great. Best haircut I have had for a long time. Hello. I visited last Friday and saw Lulu for the first time who was very friendly and warm. She immediately understood the look I wanted. When she was drying my hair I mentioned that I was super happy with the colour at the ends but had hoped it would be a little brighter on top. She explained why she had taken the approach she had (which I totally agreed with) without being at all defensive and even offered me a pot of little brightener to use at home. She also said I could come back if I was unhappy in the coming days which really reassured me and when I got home and over the next few days I was really happy with both the cut and colour and got lots of compliments from people. I was really impressed with both the treatment and the staff at this salon and would love to come again.

My first visit to the hairdressers in a long time, from the moment I booked my appointment with the lovely receptionist, who was very patient and attentive, I didn’t catch her name but she really settled my nerves and made me feel very welcome. We are an award winning independent salon group with four locations and an Academy across south east London. Myla and Davis was founded in 2009 in Herne Hill with a small team of five.
