I’ve only lived in London a year and a half and was desperate to find a good salon and stylist so I decided to go for Hob in Camden because of the cool vibes of the area. ***** the colourist with the experience of 15 years and expensive as well couldn’t get me even close to hair colour I expected
When I booked the service using the website, my usual colorist Emanuel showed as not available in the day chosen, so I had to pick up another colorist.
The day before my appointment the salon called me to inform me that Emanuel was actually free for date/time of my appointment, since they remembered I usually chose him.
That was a great customer service, I must say!
Oh, the colour was great, as usual. Emanuel really likes his job, you can tell.

Sonia was fantastic. She was attentive and professional and did a great job with blow drying my hair.
Small point, but the person washing my hair seemed initially distracted between clients. It Would have been nice to have been offered the massage option in the wash chair and the foot rest like the next client and also WiFi code etc. Another stylist gave me the code and was lovely. These are just small points though as the girl washing my hair did a great massage.

I felt amazing after getting my hair coloured by Emma and cut and blow dry by Sonia yesterday. I have been going there since it opened about 13 years ago and all the staff are lovely including the reception staff. I don’t get my hair cut often but when I do I make sure to get Lee. He’s a good bloke, decent to chat to and importantly he does a good cut. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
The salon itself is nice to visit, lots of space, decent covid safety measures and always enjoy a quick hair wash in the reclining chairs.

Chole! What can I say that is not already been said. She is an artist. My hair guru !A Couple of weeks ago, before my appointment with Chloe I had an impulsive hair dye to help afriend practicing hair colouring. The result was disastrous. Chloe as amazing as she is, knew exactly what needed to be done to my hair. Not only did she rescue my hair coloured, but she made it completely refreshed, styled and alive. my hair has never looked better. Chloe is a miracle worker.

I was really nervous about having my hair coloured by a new stylist, I’ve had the same one for years, but having moved to London, I needed to find someone new and Hobs Camden had been recommended.
They were able to fit me in on the day which was great. Front of house staff were super friendly. The atmosphere in the salon was a little flat, but I think that’s just owing to getting back to the new normal and possibly my nerves.
My stylist was friendly and happy to see pictures of what I was after (my last colour). She was honest about it being more expensive. I had asked for opalex so expected it to be a little more expensive. I was surprised to hear that adding in a toner would be more on top as I thought a toner, especially for a blonde balayage, helps get the best out of colour and this is what every salon should be hoping for? It ended up being an extra 118(ish) which is quite a surprise and a little awkward when you are already sat in the chair.
I was handed over to a trainee for my wash, toner and small root smudge, which made me even more nervous. I am very used to one stylist seeing through their vision, so felt really anxious when I was passed to a new stylist (who then also told me she was a trainee and had no idea that Hobs Camden was colourist specialists - that’s what the website said)
The colour is nice, it’s definitely as a whole darker than I had hoped for. I can’t fault the technique of my stylist, it just didn’t come together like my picture, which is disappointing for the price.
Cut is lovely.
I was so impressed with my experience at Hobs salon Camden. I was very impressed with the wonderful customer service and was very well looked after. Lovely relaxed vibe in the salon. The lady on reception was so kind,polite and accommodating. Sonia really hit the brief I gave her (a blow dry for a headshot session),and I was delighted with the results. I can’t thank you enough! Jordan is lovely. She was recommended by my daughter. She was fun and friendly and.interested to find out what I wanted. I even arrived 4 hours early (oops) but it wasn’t a problem. Jordan gave me a great cut. Really pleased. Welcoming reception staff too. All in all I had a very good experience. Would recommend.

I had a colour with Emanuel, and though far from first time having hair coloured, I hadn’t met Emanuel before. He was absolutely wonderful, I honestly couldn’t have asked for more from the appointment. He took his time to make sure he’d understood what was important to me etc and I genuinely couldn’t fault any part of the appointment. So happy with the result and highly recommend Emanuel and the salon.
