Clo&Flo cares more about being Instagrammable than quality

I had a nail appointment and it got off to a bad start when I couldn't even get into the salon! The door was locked (at 5:15pm on a Saturday) and despite me repeatedly trying to knock and get the attention of the two stylists inside, I was completely ignored and left to wait in the cold for nearly 15mins until another customer left. I could see the customers inside looking at the door as I was knocking so I can only conclude the stylists were ignoring the knocks. When I finally got in, I received a very dismissive apology for keeping me waiting.
I was then told that it was an additional fee to remove existing polish. This should be communicated at the point of booking online, as is standard in other salons. The service itself was fine, if a bit perfunctory (e.g. the stylist did not remove all the existing polish before repainting, I was not asked to wash off any residue from filing which can result in the Shellac peeling). However the colour selection for Shellac is EXTREMELY small...essentially only the basic red / pink / beige colours. Overall, the quality of service is what I would expect from a £15 gel polish and file...not a £35 one!
Will definitely NOT be returning...can get much better service and a better price elsewhere. Overall...I think Clo&Flo cares more about being Instagrammable than about providing a high-quality experience.

We pride ourselves on the level of high customer service that we strive to meet on all occasions and feel let down when this is not met. We occasionally keep the door locked for security but the girls are usually very good at keep an eye for clients waiting at the door. I apologise on this occasion you were let down. Our nail technician usually has an eye for detail and provides a professional and service quality. Again I am sorry that you felt this wasn't the case on this occasion.
