Fizz makes sure she cuts your hair perfectly without q single strand left uneven ?. She pays careful attention to diagnose what the hair needs when it needs cutting.

Fran is very friendly and sweet, listens to what you want and always asks you if you're happy with your result.

Fizz is brilliant, listens to what I want (super low maintenance cut the grows out well) and advises on what would suit me best. Always happy with her cuts!

Anthony has been cutting my hair forever and I love it every single time. He always does something slightly different and it’s always perfect for me. He’s so good I drive miles to get there rather than change hairdressers!

As ever a fantastic personal experience at HOB Southgate with Fizz. After missing my appointment because of lockdown last time she made sure I was able to get my colour (thanks Fran) and cut in before you closed the doors again. Superb cut and style and she always knows exactly what I like (but offers ideas and options to change things up!). Love my appointments every time and the whole team are super friendly and great at what they do!

It was my first time with Bobbi. I have medium length, thin, undyed black hair. I normally have long layers cut in. Bobbi took time at the beginning to ask what I like and don't like about my hair. She made suggestions and wasn't forceful at all but I took her advice and love my new haircut! It's shorter (maybe 2 inches off) than I would have gone but looks SO much better than my usual 1/2 inch trim. I woke up today really excited about how it looks. Bobbi clearly takes pride in her work. Thank you!!

First time Eva looked after me. She is attentive and patient; very thorough to make sure there is adequate barrier cream applied and set the toner really well.
I am 100% satisfied and Bobbi worked her magic too. I can now turn my camera on for virtual meetings!

Salon hygienic. All stuff follow Covid guidance. Great teamwork. All focus on what customers need. Fizz is providing good advice while helping me to grow my hair out to a new style.

The whole team make me feel welcomed as a valued customer every time I visit both Potters Bar and Southgate salons. Nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere is always friendly and uplifting. Anthony's cutting is second to none and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Can’t recommend Southgate Hobs highly enough. I have not felt inclined, or brave enough, to go to a pub or restaurant but this is my 2nd visit in 6 weeks to Hobs They really have gone the extra mile with COVID security, staff wear perspect masks , screens between clients , face masks provided , disposable gowns and towels , hand sanitizer galore. I felt totally safe and comfortable in the environment. Anthony created a unique style for me, love it , my 27 year old daughter said it was the best ever, and she is hard to impress. So get back into the salon , it is safe and boosts your mood. Trust me I’m a Lawyer.

So glad to be back at this friendly efficient salon. Everyone is extremely proficient and I always come out feeling good about my haircut. Thank you again!

Fizz & Polly have been looking after my hair for a few years now & I've never had a bad experience, in fact they always amaze me with how good my cut & colour can look! They are also very tolerant of some of my daft ideas... like randomly deciding I need Unicorn hair LoL. So it's brilliant to see them back up & running this year ❤

I have been using Hob Southgate for about 3 years now, following a recommendation from a friend. Service is always professional, friendly, and, most importantly, makes your hair look amazing. Massage chairs and an excellent coffee machine - although they will also happily offer you wine or soft drinks - help you to relax and feel extremely pampered. Head massages are very good, and the staff really make you feel at home with none of the he-said/she-said bitchiness that can sometimes be overheard in other salons. Polly's attention to detail ensures that my colour is always perfect - no matter how fussy my request may be. Styling by Tommy and Fran has always been beautiful. Anthony (the owner/manager) styled my hair for the first time this week and I loved the result - my boyfriend even noticed and complimented me without any prompting! Staff definitely care about the health of your hair, and will provide thoughtful and tailored advice without any "hard sell" of their products or services. While there may be some cheaper options out there, I genuinely feel like every penny is so well spent here, and the overall experience and end result make this exceptionally worthwhile.
