Highly recommend Aaron for cut and cooohr. He listens to what I want and gave thoughtful advice on colour that suited me perfectly. End result for colour, cut and style was exactly what I was hoping for. Couldn’t be happier, highly recommend!

Excellent as always

Was a great experience, I had a complimentary massage with some aromatherapy which was a great start! The massage chair while having my hair washed was also delightful and Deren was so chatty and really gave my hair moisture . My hair needed a "MOT" and Deren provided a great cut and very nice blow dry.

I moved to London in June and Edward James in Balham was the first hair salon I visited. I was lucky to get an appointment with Deren and was blown away by my colour. It’s the first time in years that my blonde is the exact shade I love.

Deren has also helped improve the health of my hair, which feels much stronger and healthier overall. Very happy to have found this salon and would highly recommend.

Had an amazing experience & loved my stylist. Gave me exactly what I wanted and was super fun to hang out with and chat to. I will be back.

Jessica was superb as always, she knows well how to get the colour I want and my hair feels light and no damage at all.
Only thing is that I would have liked that she is more on top of me updating on the progress, it took 4hours and I would have liked a little bit more of feedback during the process. The assistant felt a little bit slow and the whole experience felt too long with no much attention to the customer. But overall I liked the outcome.

Aaron did an excellent job with my haircut and blow dry! As soon as I shared my ideas, he offered great recommendations and clearly knew what he was doing while cutting my hair. I left feeling really satisfied with the service and immediately booked my next appointment!

Dalis is a genius! From the consultation, throughout the highlighting process to the moment the styling ended, Dalis was attentive, checking her work, and checking I was happy. The result? The most beautiful highlights that were just what I asked for. I’m over the moon with the results.
The rest of the staff in the salon were also delightful, welcoming and made me feel at ease. I have super curly hair and have found other salons didn’t know what to do or how to manage my hair so always nervous going into a mainstream salon. Edward James is different, they couldn’t have been more welcoming. I cannot recommend highly enough

I’ve been going to Edward James for years. The whole experience is head and shoulders (hoho) above every other hairdresser I’ve ever been to. High-quality products, professional and friendly atmosphere, helpful and skilled staff.q
It’s led from the top by Ed himself: he is a respectful and collaborative employer who insists on the highest standards across the board from his staff, and consequently has a loyal, professional and motivated team. I always book last minute in a rush, and they go out of their way to accommodate me.
I usually go to the Balham branch, but I’ve been to his others in the past and I honestly couldn’t recommend any of them enough.

This salon is always a joy to visit. Jessica was brilliant, taking time to discuss what I wanted and I was very happy with the results. The head massage at the beginning and the massage chairs during the hair wash are wonderful, and add to the overall feeling of a great visit.

So good. I’m really pleased with my tape extensions. The colour match is spot on and they look natural. I was really unhappy with my thin hair so this is a game changer for me.

I usually go to Putney, but as I’ve moved I switched to Balham. However, I felt the environment is less over stimulating at Putney, Balham’s is probably nicer but I’m neurodivergent and I felt it was a bit loud, people and music (I go for a calming experience which it wasn’t) and bright for me at Balham, that’s probably a me problem, but I think I’ll go to Putney again next time. I won’t swap hairdressers as I love the work that Dalis does, she’s amazing and very friendly. Overall I liked the work that was done though! :)

After 15 years with another salon I have had 3 haircuts by Gitanns and they hsve all been excellent. I have thick hair and Gitanns cuts it well. It’s a very welcoming and relaxing environment.

Jamie was amazing! Impeccable service from start to finish! Love my new look! Also as first time mum, I had to bring my baby in and Jamie was incredibly kind and patient.

Pedro is always such a bundle of joy, not only is a superb hairdresser he’s just highly entertaining:)
