I’ve been seeing Marcia for a couple of years now, and she is genuinely the best hairdresser I’ve ever had. I’m someone who changes my mind every appointment, yet Marcia is always honest with her advice, realistic about expectations, and completely supportive of whatever new idea I walk in with.

Whether it’s a subtle tweak or a massive change, she’s always encouraged me to try new styles and colours—and thanks to her, I’ve discovered looks I never would’ve tried on my own. My most recent colour and style are my absolute favourites, and for the first time in ages, I haven’t wanted to change a thing!

And a big thank you to Millie and Hannah as well—always so welcoming, friendly, and chatty. I truly enjoy every visit.

I thought it was a friendly place and the people are nice, my hairdresser is Sharon and I’m well happy with her she knew her job and was very helpful. I can’t remember if Sharon mentioned about the website 16theunit.com but it doesn’t matter because I don’t do on line, Sharon is a lovely lady.

First time visiting Joanne’s and I was not disappointed! Marcia did a full colour correction and restyle making me feel like a whole new person! Everyone was so lovely and friendly and the coffee was delicious! I will definitely be back!

As always Marcia does a fabulous job with my hair. After 10 months I decided to gave my extensions in. They look lovely and I enjoyed the banter whilst creating lovely long curls. Always attentive and creating fabulous colour. I always get lovely compliments for my her, but it’s all down to Marcia. Thank you

From the moment you walk through the doors, you are met with smiles and a very warm welcome. Whoever shampoo's your hair, always friendly, always offered Tea/coffee. Now my stylist Marcia, I've had a few stylists over the years, but Marcia is an amazing stylist, I can blow dry using my hands! always a perfect cut. Again Marcia is always friendly and has a very good listening ear, just what you need sometimes.Salon is always clean, and play good music.

Received a phone call to say my stylist was off sick but offered me the option of 2 stylists to cover colour/cut.

Had a lovely hair cut by Millie was really pleased with it she very good !
Felt a bit awkward in middle of hair cut as she was approached by another stylised saying it was another restyle ??
My hair had grown out quite a bit but it wasn’t really a re style just needed layers put back in a quite a bit cut off
Was glarred at by the other stylish as I paid and left if something was wrong maybe they could of spoke to me about it

Very happy with my daughter’s hair. Was scared to take her to a salon as I thought all hairdressers were scissor happy. Georgina was great only cut off what we said and gave us good advice on keeping my daughter’s hair nice. Very happy x

I had a wonderful appointment with Millie this week. I’m a new client of hers and I’m always worried about going to a new stylist. But Millie made me feel comfortable and ran through everything that she was going to do and showed me the colour options so I could make sure I was happy with my choice.

When I had my hair washed I have to say I think Millie was the best I’ve ever had with the head massage! It’s the best bit about getting my hair done and she was absolutely fabulous - soft and gentle and relaxing!

Will 100% be coming back - you now have a customer for life!

Jackie cut my hair perfectly. Exactly what I wanted. I felt relaxed as she was very friendly and professional. Lovely clean salon. Had a cup of tea and enjoyed the whole experience. Will definitely be going again.

I phoned up for an appointment and got one within half an hour. I arrived at the salon and the welcome was very friendly. The atmosphere was very good in the salon. I was very pleased with.mt cut and blow dry. I would recommend Joanne's to my friends.

It was the best hair wash I’ve had since going Joanne Hairdressing. I went in for my roots and when it was time for the hair wash it was lovely. They took time to get rid of the dye around my hair line etc. when washing they washed really well underneath because sometimes that’s not really done and does start itching as the day goes on. This time was just perfect I’ve had no itchiness during the day. Thank you, look forward to my next appointment.
