She did a very nice job, but it’s not at all what I asked for. I felt a lot of pressure to complement her and make her feel good about the job she did, which really is a fine job, but something totally different. I asked for dark hair with red highlights. I have dark roots and copper hair with dark and blond highlights. I feel a bit like a clown and am about to go on my honeymoon with this silly hair. It’s quality work but I’m the one who has to live with it and, especially for the price, I’d expect to get closer to what I wanted. This is the fourth stylist I’ve had in the last year and a half since coming to Ellen Conlin, so apparently people are routinely leaving or being let go. After this experience, I won’t be back.

Oh my goodness Ellen Conlin
why did I leave it sooo long? Well because of work commitments in the South. Ellen first cut & coloured my hair in my early 30's, for a number of years. Then I returned to her in early 2000 when she not only did my hair but my mum's who was suffering from Dementia. She made us both look swish. Now I made my return last week, aged 60 and my cut & colour are fantastic. From making the appointment to visiting the salon I was met with genuine service. And the complimentary glass of bubbles was very kind. See you early February Ellen. In the meantime festive wishes to you Ken and the team x

The staff at Ellen Conlin are warmany, welcoming, and highly professional. Chloe gave me the most beautiful blow-dry, was attentive, interested, and the attention to special details make this a salon that I will be visiting again and again

Great service. Chloe has been my hairdresser for a number of years and I really trust her with my hair. Lovely clean professional salon and all the staff are very friendly.

Absolutely Brilliant Cut & Colour with Chris again, everyone in the salon makes you feel so welcome the service is brilliant and Chris in particular is excellent. Unfortunately again the Beauty let it down, I got the worst hand massage ever, was like being stroked by a wet fish, in 2015 I had a range of treatments and they were all poor my therapist was on her phone texting while I was getting a facial. Can’t fault the hair department and front of house and recommend them all the time but never the Beauty department

I visited your salon yesterday and was in desperate need of colour and a cut . Chris was nothing short of superb . I am delighted with the new colour and he has given my hair a welcome lift with a cut to remove unwanted volume . The most impressive part is that it took longer than expected and I left after closing . Chris was not phased at all at the fact I was keeping him late . To me this is nothing short of excellent customer service as it was my 2 nd time in your salon .

Recently got a blow dry for a special event and Ryan did a really fantastic job- my hair held in place all night, and I got lots of compliments on how nice it looked! I had to change my appointment time at the last minute and the salon was really understanding and flexible. Got a nice warm welcome on arrival and throughout my treatment. I will definitely be back!

This was the 1st Chris styled my hair. Chris suggested I had a few highlights which I'm over the moon with. My hair is short and I'm trying to let it grow. So what Chris done was amazing it looks longer and the cut is really lovely. So a big thank you to all.

Well, I only popped in for a blow-dry, but left feeling truly spoiled. My hair is a mass of corkscrew curls: many stylists are intimidated..
However, a wonderful young man called Beow (great name for a great stylist!), infomed me that he would be giving me a New York blow-dry.
)It was a nice touch that the stylist also washed my hair beforehand).
Can genuinely say that my hair has NEVER looked this good. If you want to treat yourself, take yourself directly to Ellen Conlin.

I am new to the salon, this was my first hair appointment. My welcome was warm and personal. I had booked to have hair extensions and a cut and colour. The entire experience was fabulous. Chris is an absolute hair genius! Such a talented guy and a true master stylist. I was quite nervous as I had never had hair extensions. However I was totally at ease with Chris working his magic on my hair and I am delighted with my beautiful full hair and gorgeous style. I will definitely be back and so many people have complimented me on my new style. 5 stars all round!

I have been in Previously to get firstly a Blow Dry which was just the absolute best I've ever had my hair is mid length, brown and extremely thick, the whole experience was fantastic they really make sure you get what you ask for and more, they tamed my thick hair and I walked out with a lovely full shiny bouncy blow dry, that lasted for a fantastic length of time and the compliments I get every time I have my hair done also make me want to go back, they really do the best blow drys.
I have since been back for a further 2 Blow Drys and a wee trim as the experience and the attention you as a client are given is second to none, they really take such good care over the client as well as your hair.
My last appointment there last week was for a full head colour, cut and Blow dry and again I left feeling a million dollars.... love the colour, exactly what I asked for and the cut was given a lot of time and care as I have layers but she Lena also thinned out my hair is a much nicer way than using thinning scissors to prevent the dreaded frizz and as for the Blow dry I didn't get My bouncy curly blow dry it was suggested I try a smooth blow dry with still the lift and slight bounce and well... I LOVED IT!!!
Felt so classy, it was so shiny and my hair a week later is looking and feeling so much healthier than it was.
You all do such a fantastic job there, all so friendly... you really make sure your clients are happy and that's what I love, the attention to detail.
I can't wait for my next Appointment in November

This was my first visit to the salon. Had been looking for a change of place to go after going to the same place for 15 years...so was slightly apprehensive! However I was pleasantly surprised, I was immediately made to feel welcome by the staff and they went above and beyond. I got eyelash filaments and they are beautiful. I have an appointment to get hair extensions and colour...I'm really looking forward to the results.

I started coming to the salon in March this year and have been very well looked after each visit. Both Ryan and Lena have made a fantastic job of my cut and colour. Always made very welcome by all the staff. Would highly recommend.

I went first time and didn't know what to expect but after all been done I looked amazing so i went a second time and again results as usual were fantastic. Highly recommend to use it service and results leaves feeling fantastic!

Absolutely love my new colour and blonde highlights and cut and style. My hair style feels very trendy and cool and Ryan senior stylist definitely has a wide breath of knowledge and skills and is fully aware of style, colours and what I was wanting in my hair style.

I've have been using this hairdressers for 10'years I got a facial from Lorraine which was good was sad to find out my usual facial person has left , got my hair done as well wasn't really great. However would recommend them as I did ask for something different done with my hair I think the hair prices are pricey apart from that all good.

Fabulous back, kneck and shoulder massage from Lorraine. Pressure was perfect and she really worked all my knots and aches away. Would definitely recommend and will be going back soon! Thanks

I've been going to ECH for more than 10 years now. I wouldn't go anywhere else. From the nicest receptionist/manager you'll ever meet to expert hairdressers to excellent staff who can't do enough for you it's a great experience all round. Ellen and Ken who manage and look after you personally are the coolest love birds in town? All in all so glad I found ECH I couldn't recommend it highly enough. T?

I haven't been in Glasgow too long and hadn't had my hair cut in a while, so was quite nervous. Nicky cut my hair and she was fantastic. She even went to the trouble of going on to Pinterest to find hair styles I would like. Very happy with my cut and the service. The staff were lovely and very attentive. I booked my second appointment before I left the salon.

This was my first time getting my haircut in the salon. Was greeted by the lovely receptionist Lesley, then taken by one of the juniors for my hair to be washed. Laura Lee was my stylist and she was absolutely amazing. I love my hair she took time to ask if everything was OK while cutting my hair. Thank you

I'm so glad I found this salon. I have been getting my hair done here for the last year and feel really comfortable when I'm here. I love the way they remember my name, and use it! To be greeted by a big smile and a "hello Karen ' starts the appointment off well. I like the layout of the salon and love the professionalism of the staff. My stylist, Nicki, is great. She now knows exactly how my hair works and I love the finished results.

Lorraine is excellent and I have to say it was the best Caci I have received to date. I left the saloon feeling relaxed, with glowing skin and what felt like a work out on my face.

Have only been going to Ellen Collins for a year and by chance came across a stylist Nicki who is fantastic!! Just love her and my son now goes to her ... have recommended friends to her now and everyone delighted ...

Was given a voucher as a gift for a facial treatment and had the best experience ever. Was also treated to a colour and cut which I am delighted with. Walked out of the shop feeling a million dollars. A happy and extremely friendly environment that I will definitely return to.
