I love everything about JDH! Its not just a place to get a treatment or your hair cut and coloured. It's a lovely retreat for the time you are there, friendly and professional. Gillian knows my hair better than I could ever, in all the years (nearly 20!) of styling my do, I have never been disappointed. Nikki and team are amazing therapists in the spa, and front of house team are always amazing, friendly and on the ball with what's going on.
For example, I walk in this morning, greeted by a very friendly and happy Kirsty who gave me a beautiful caramel latte- very welcome on a chilly morning- then welcomed by Holly who washed my hair and prepped me, amazing styling consult then colour by Gillian, and in between a welcome surprise of getting my nails done by Natalie. A lovely welcome and chat from Gill (salon manager) and to top it off an amazing finished haircut and colour by Gillian. Why would I even think of going anywhere else!
Personable, friendly and professional without being an overbearing or false. I look forward to my trips to JDH and highly recommend it.

Been coming here for years and never had a bad experience. You’re always made to feel very welcome as soon as you walk in, the complimentary head massages are out of this world and the stylists are great. Aveda products used are good quality. Can’t recommend highly enough!

A truly great hairdresser is hard to find but it’s no exaggeration to say that Gillian is consistently brilliant. She listens carefully to my ideas but also gives great advice. I’m now at the stage where I’m more than happy to just let her do her thing. I’m a bit reluctant to write such a good review as she’s already so in demand but she deserves recognition for being fabulous! Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

As always, Lynsey maintains my colour which is flawless. People have commented on my hair colour, in that they are surprised it’s not my natural colour, it is so convincing. . That’s a huge compliment on how good Lynsey is.

Always a treat coming to JDH. Gemma is great and does the best blow drys. An a fabulous complimentary treatment from Nikki too. Fantastic.

Facial with Vicki was very relaxing and gave my skin a nice healthy glow afterwards. Hollie tidied up my hair and always cool chat with her. Girls at reception Hollie and Kirsty are lovely too as is Gill the manager, always a great place to visit :)

Had manicure and pedicure by Vicki. She was very friendly and I loved my nails. Will definitely be back and highly recommend JDH.

A brow wax, normally just a maintenance I don’t even think of. I popped in on my lunch for a brow wax and tint after having my patch test the day before and left feeling like I’d had a little treat. Lovely salon and Vicky went that extra mile to make the treatment feel relaxing. I was consulted throughout the treatment on shape and shade of the tint making the treatment bespoke and the look natural rather than some places which churn out the same look for everyone! Already booked for next time!

Was lovely to see Natalie again after her doing my waxing the week before! She is a fab beauty professional but also lovely person and easy to talk too! She did a fab set of nails on hands and feet and will definitely be back for more!

Hayat made my mum feel really comfortable and we had a great morning getting our nails done. Felt like we were being pampered by friends and Hayat encouraged my mum to look at colours and choose what she wanted. Wonderful staff and lovely spa.

A great experience all round at the salon from start to finish, so much so I've booked back in with my daughter too. I've found my go to salon!!

Nikki is such an experienced and skilful therapist that my facial becomes a wonderful experience. She always uses exactly the right products to improve my skin and leave it feeling smooth and hydrated - pure bliss!

As usual, Kerri made my hair look fabulous! My colour - a rich and subtle honey blonde, the cut - taking account of my face shape (and lifestyle!) and the finish - glossy and stylish. Add to that Keira’s magic hands for shampooing and massage - just perfect!
