I have had my hair done at Shapes for many years and have been very happy with the standard of service and skill of their operatives. The quality of their technical knowledge and up to date approach is excellent and on a par with the most fashionable salons in the city.
gabby has did my hair for years and i have always been happy with the style and colour.. there is always a very friendly atmosphere in the salon from all the staff

In today at Shapes for yet another fantastic experience. Been going to Shapes for years. Tracy is brilliant on colour ... totally trust her for her experience. My colour is always in line with my age and skin shade. I get precicely what I want. Not cheap but worth every penny. You can wear a lovely outfit but if your hair is not right well ... need I say more. Please try ... you won't regret it. M Todd

Shapes staff are friendly and helpful. I am visually impaired and the staff guide me to and from the basins. Also they never ask me to go to the downstairs salon which is thoughtful. I have a couple of different stylists, in whom I have every confidence .
The prices are middle of the road but I get a prnsioner's discount which is great!
I also like their loyalty scheme- a card which is stamped per visit. Free products and a free treatment is on offer.
Been going here for years, great service as always.
Also they make a nice coffee!!!
Been to Shapes Portobello a few times&think it's a fantastic salon. Really friendly staff, reasonable prices&I'm always really happy with my haircut. Definitely recommend!
First time at Shapes. They were able to give me an appointment at short notice although the salon was busy. Got good advice on colour and am v happy with result. Just needed a trim but Mack did a lovely job. Friendly atmosphere, great value, will def be back.

Taken at short notice. Pleasant phone conversation and subsequent appointment. Welcomed by name in the salon - no waiting. Usual hairdresser on holiday, but Carly was delightful and I left very satisfied.
Always walk out happy with the colour done by Mac and the cut Clive does, I can always blow dry my hair as if I have been to the salon which at past hairdressers this has not been the case
Would have preferred it chilled along with a nail manicure

I have used this salon for many years and always found the staff professional and friendly. I presently have my hair cut by Gaby but in the past I have had this done by three other hairdressers and have always been totally satisfied with the end product. My husband and daughter also use this salon.

Gabby listened to what I wanted done to my hair, asked questions and made suggestions based on what I was looking for.
End result my hair looks healthy and great either straight or curly.

Staff always very pleasant, pleased with treatments , hair much improved. The staff were also very kind with my neighbour and Jade was kind enough to bring her out to the car once I had gone to get it. Thanks for good service and by the way I always get a nice cup of coffee!
