Medusa Hair Salon Stockbridge, Edinburgh

This is 3rd time I’ve been to Chloe and have had a good service. Yesterday though my appointment was interrupted by another client and she didn’t do my whole appointment was a bit unhappy they I had to wait and get someone else to do my toner. Felt it wasn’t as good as last time when Chloe did it but otherwise ok .

She is the best n is a magician with color.. ❤️❤️

Been going to Chloe since lockdown lifted ... I cannot emphasise how fantastic she is .... takes time to listen to my every requirements of how I like my hair done ... although having said that she knows me so well I can just go to her & say same again please ... all the staff are so welcoming & I feel it’s such a treat to visit the salon to have my hair done & relax ...a big thank you Chloe xx

Great atmosphere- I really trusted the salon to help me with a bad colouring job from a previous hairdresser at another salon and I was right to chose Medusa. Lauren was sweet and kind and understood exactly what I wanted. My colour is even better than I’d hoped for ! Great - I’m going to be a regular !!

Went to Medusa today for a cut and blow dry and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Poppy was really lovely and cut my hair beautifully. Thank you!

Peter (Mellon) at Stockbridge is a brilliant all round stylist but I really do love the way he does my colour. It Is always blended perfectly and he knows how far to go with the brightness. I recommend him to everyone I know.

Perfect hair and all in just over an hour. I felt listened to, looked after and in safe hands. The head massage and coffee were great too.

Chloe (stylist) & I spoke prior to how I wanted to get my hair done as it was my Ball event the same evening as my hair is one if he darkest & stubborn type. However, with super dedication & motivation I was given the best service of all time. I really appreciate the service & will definitely go back again.

P.S: The outcome was brilliant, everybody at the event loved my hair colour & style.

Casey is exceptional at what she does! I've searched long and wide for a stylist who is this talented when it comes to highlights. I've had lots of bad experiences with highlighting my hair over the years and I'm really happy to have found such a talented stylist who takes such good care of my hair!

so so happy with my hair! i’m very particular about what i like and don’t like because hair is so important but i honestly couldn’t have asked for a better haircut. i felt so comfortable and welcomed!

Was my first cut at Medusa and I’m so happy with it! Chloe really took the time to understand my hair needs, especially as it’s naturally curly/wavy. She cut it exactly as I hoped and styled it beautifully! Felt amazing coming out of the salon! Will definitely be back and would recommend!

Kat gave great advice and demo to help style my hair.

I had a hair emergency, I am going to a wedding and my I was able to be slotted in with Chloe. She was fabulous from start to finish, specifically she was so informative regarding the products she was using, and the products that would inevitably help my hair in the future. She took care and attention in listening to how I wanted my hair coloured, and the end product was fabulous. Moreover, she informed me about the QR code regarding magazines, which I thought was a fabulous addition, not only in relation to the pandemic, but having access to magazines that may not be available usually. She is clearly a well valued asset to the Medusa team and I had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately I couldn’t attribute this review to Chloe as her name was not available on the stylist drop down box, but I hope she receives my compliments.

This salon is 100% busy but they always manage to squeeze me in regularly and take time to discuss ideas and options.

Went for a change as I had a Bob Said to kat I fancy a change course and cut ..... Well that's what I got showed Kat a picture She got to work wow certainly changed me I love it Get along there if u haven't been and make appointment guaranteed you won't b disappointed, so don't wait ad thay are busy make t phone call ?

The title says it all. Peter excelled as always. My sister is wheelchair bound and we go together as a result. Peter not only cuts and colours our hair superbly, but also makes my sister feel a million dollars in the way she is treated. Thank you.

After having the same hairdresser for nearly 10 years until I moved to Edinburgh going somewhere new was quite nerve wracking. When I had a consult, Kat understood this and really took the time to talk through what she was doing and what we were aiming for. She also helped find a time to come in when the salon was quieter than usual which was ideal.

We decided that as I hadn't had my hair coloured in nearly a year the time was right to go in a new direction and go blonde. This is not a short process but we had great chat, cups of tea and a lovely playlist.

I couldn't be happier with the results - a fresh new look for me and a new regular for Kat.

I loved my colour but feel that the price of the conditioning treatment should perhaps be highlighted prior to application. I did not ask how much it would be but it was certainly more than I anticipated.
I was also a little bit disappointed that my hair did not get cut, even at the ends. I wrongly assumed that a trim came with the blow dry as I felt it was a bit pricey for just being dried.
This being said, the staff were very nice and Nicola was very knowledgable about the colour and gave excellent advice.

I absolutely love the way Chloe cut my hair today! I’m not always the best at communicating what I want, but she quickly saw my vision and hit the nail on the head! I left with fun bouncy layers and MUCH healthier-looking hair. So glad to find a great local stylist, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
