Kate did an incredible job with my hair. She talked me through what she recommended and helped me pick a colour that would suit me. She was really understanding when my baby was unsettled and made me feel comfortable. I left the salon with amazing hair and I will definitely be returning very soon.

Absolutely fantastic! I had a very very last minute wedding upgrade to full day and chanced my arm for a nearby salon to get my hair done. Was a very lucky girl and got an apppointment due to a cancellation. My hair was
Beautifully done. Corinne listened to what I thought and advised what would suit. An hour later I was off to the wedding. My hair was fabulous and stayed in allllll day despite the copious amounts of fizz and dancing! Considering I had never stepped foot in the salon before, Corinne expertly sorted out my mop so I was belle of the ball.

First of all, the staff is really nice and welcoming. They also accepted to help me with making a hair donation. I didn't know what kind of style I wanted and just gave a general direction. After that, Marnie explained what she could do and the result is above all my expectations. I really love it! Thank you Marnie!

First visit and Got my roots sorted , a toner and a cut. Kate did a lovely job. The colour didn’t take in one area and she fixed it and ensured I was happy with it before I left. Kate was really friendly and professional. Will definitely be back.

Kate knows what to do with my coarse wavy hair to make it manageable while having some kind of shape. She’s a really precise cutter and works with the wave, meaning a can just wash and go at home. Friendly, low-stress salon. No pressure to buy products, get a blow dry etc

If you're looking for a good place to get your hair done in Edinburgh, Medusa is the place to go! The staff are so friendly and they did my hair so well! Turned me from a 7 to a solid 10 in 40 mins

I have enjoyed getting my hair cut for a number of years at Bread Street. Marnie usually cuts my hair and occasionally Kate. Both are fabulous and I really appreciate their professional advice and patience - absoutely love my hair cuts! Everyone is really friendly too.
I heard that Medusa gave everyone more time off over the festive break - very impressed that the hardworking staff were appreciated by the owners and had were given a well earned break. I'm now even more likely to keep going back! Hope this continues every year and other organisations also do this. All the very best for 2022 and hope it is a better year for you all. X

This was my first visit to Medusa and it didn’t disappoint. I had a poor experience at a different (unconnected) salon and Kate put me at ease and made lots of great suggestions. I love the colour, the cut is exactly what I asked for and I really enjoyed my proper cappuccino!

Corinne is such a lovely person with amazing talent, asked her to do what she wanted with the colour turquoise and whatever cut she wanted and I was not disappointed! I feel so confident because of her and can’t wait for my next appointment!

I hadn’t had my hair professionally done for over 2 years and was super nervous to get a cut and colour but Marnie was so welcoming and did EXACTLY what I had asked for. No cutting 5 inches off when you ask for 1cm anymore! I love my hair, I highly recommend!

Corinne is an amazing hairdresser. She listened to what I wanted and had lots of suggestions based around that. When we agreed on a style (smoky pink roots fading to the tips) she executed it carefully and with attention to detail. And she is a lovely person too. I followed her from a different salon because she is excellent.

Had a lovely experience today with Corinne and the girls! Felt relaxed and comfortable the whole time and the whole process was very covid-safe. Came away with my hair looking and feeling great, with every one of my hair concerne addressed. 10/10 will be going back!

I made an appointment with Marnie after a stylist at another salon did an absolutely awful hack job of my hair. Marnie was so sweet and sympathetic, and she spent lots of time talking me through how she could make the cut work for me. She did an amazing job of turning a terrible experience into a really positive one, and worked out a style that looks flattering and makes me so much happier.

I will literally never go anywhere else again!

Connor is an extremely skilled stylist and created the style I asked for with an added bit of discussion and advice about how best to interpret the example photo I showed him. He's asked my hair twice before and each time I've been super satisfied with the quality of the cut.

I recently visited the Medusa salon for the first time in order to soften a balayage done by a different salon on my hair. Connor was fantastic in creating balance and structure on my hair color, and carefully listened to how I would like my hair to look like. The result was 100% on point, professional and consistent . I would definitely recommend this salon and will be my choice for my hair appointments going forward :)
