Took time to understand my requirements and was very intuitive.

I had an amazing haircut from Jo yesterday.
It was my first appointment with her, I am never very good at describing what I want, but I am quite fussy, Jo listened, gave great advise and suggestions as we talked it all through. I had a lovely hair shampoo,condition and fab head massage from Taylor which all made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Jo set to and sorted my hair.
I am so delighted, it sits beautifully, short, soft and feminine.
So thank you Jo, I will definitely be back, I'm delighted. It's very hard to start again with a new hair stylist, so when I initially spoke to Rhonda to make the appointment I felt at ease and happy.

Medusa has to be the best hairdressing salon in Edinburgh. Before coming to live in Edinburgh it was recommended to me and I have been there ever since (4years). Colin (the owner) is a fantastic stylist... who always asks what I want, listens and advises accordingly...... in 4 years I have never once had a bad haircut and have changed my style often. The service is warm and professional, the salon is modern and comfortable and the team of stylists and staff are always friendly and welcoming. Look no further........

Had a great visit to Medusa Bread Street today. Went in with a picture of what I wanted and Kate explained that it would've caused some damage to my hair with bleaching etc. She suggested an alternative and it's turned out fab! Love my new red colour. Great customer service from everyone and will definitely be back!

WOW - What can I say another fantastic experience at Medusa Bread Street courtesy of Colin. Wanted a change and change is what I got. It is refreshing to know that you are going to leave the salon looking fantastic with a hairstyle that suits your type of hair and your face shape. Everyone at the salon is so nice and you are treated like you are the most important person to them - cannot recommend this salon highly enough.

A really nice and friendly atmosphere. Kirsty who does my hair is absolutely amazing. My hair always looks better than I could imagine everytime she works her magic on it.

I first tried this salon in 2016 after coming across the positive reviews online. The cut I received from Sarah beat all expectations I had for a hair style. With previous hair dressers I always got the feeling they were moulding to their image rather than what I showed them with pictures. Isn't the the case here. It's a shame as I've since moved from Edinburgh but the service is so good that I had to come back during my recent trip to Scotland.
if I don't find a new salon in London soon I guess coming back for the occasional hair cut is also a great excuse to visit the city.

I had a cut and half head highlights by Colin today. I'm delighted with the result. I've been going to Medusa for 16 years and it's always been a positive experience from start to finish. The premises are spacious and fashionable, reception staff are welcoming and friendly, the coffee is great, the head massages a real highlight and the hairdressers (I've had 5 different hairdressers from Medusa over the years) are professional and really care about hair.

I recently went to another unrelated salon due to a clerical mix up and decided immediately after the event that this Had been a poor decision on my part. I returned to Medusa today and it was the best decision I've made. I will keep going back to Medusa.

I had a good chunk of my hair chopped off with Ashley! normally hate getting my hair cut but i felt so comfortable with her, and absolutely loved how it looked after. Will 100% be back, thanks!! x

Always a pleasure to visit Medusa at Bread St. The salon has a very professional air to it, and the staff are so friendly and chatty, it's a great place to visit. They are great with colouring my ridiculously-long hair and it always looks fantastic afterwards - I always get compliments about it in work, and sometimes on the bus too!!

I have been going to this salon for over a year and have consistently had great service. All stylists are very friendly, helpful and of course brilliant hairdressers. The salon itself is spotlessly clean and they always offer you tea/coffee. I feel in good hands when I am in the salon and have never had a bad experience. I would highly recommend Medusa Bread Street to anyone.

Been to medusa bread street a few times before. Had quite a good chunk chopped off in my appointment today but I am in love with the outcome, service is always extremely good and I have always walked out very happy with the standard, service and money I have spent. The atmosphere is great and the staff are lovely and chatty. 10/10 feel mint, would return again and again.

Staff are all very friendly, had an amazing haircut and colour and was clear the hairdresser truly cared about you and your hair. 100% will be back and couldn't recommend it enough!!

I've been going to Kirsty to get my hair done for years and wouldn't trust anyone else. She understands how to work with my curly/ sometimes frizzy hair and her knowledge of the science behind hair colouring astounds me, you can tell she's really passionate about her job!!

You always get a lovely reception from the staff who work there and nothing is ever too much trouble. I highly recommend this salon!

Always get my hair dyed from Kirsty! Love her!! She's honestly a star. can't recommend her enough if anyone is looking to get colour! Especially if you are planning to go from very dark hair to light!! All the staff are lovely at Medusa- bread street. Last week was my first time into the salon! Excellent customer service. I was made to feel very comfortable. Unfortunately I forget the name of my hairdresser. I must say for all the years I have been going to salons, I was so delighted to find someone so talented and creative. He mentioned he takes part in competitions and recently won quite a prestigious award. We had a good twenty min chat about what I was looking for and my lifestyle, regards maintanance. The next evening I got a million compliments from friends and family. Seriously took years of me! Will be back for sure. Love the outcome. Ps. Got HD eyebrows and lash tint also top class result. Having usually gone to gents barbers for a cut, this was my first time in a salon. The staff were lovely (my stylist Kate in particular) and the attention to detail was incredible. I will certainly make this my regular place for my hair.

Kirsty many times now. She is a total professional who is expert at her profession. She cuts and colours my hair to perfection. The reason for this is that she is not only talented and passionate about what she does but she listens to what her client wants. She is a lovely person who is understanding even to the smallest of expectations.

I phoned up in the morning and I was giving an appointment that lunch time which was convenient for me. My hair was cut by Lorenzo I believe, he was very friendly and chatted away very easily. I usually see Sarah but she was fully booked.

First time getting my hair cut in Scotland (am a Canadian student). Chose this place because of its proximity to my flat. But I lucked out because it's a great place to go! Atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I had my hair cut by Kelsey who was lively and incredibly professional.

I went in today for my first haircut in 7 years, so needless to say I was extremely nervous. Sarah was so friendly and knew exactly what I meant when I described the cut I wanted. I have very curly hair, and the cut she gave me really enhanced my natural curl pattern. I had a really wonderful experience with Sarah, and I would highly recommend this salon.

I got my hair cut and impromptu nails done today. It's been a rough week but everyone at Medusa is just lovely and before you know it you look and feel great again.

Another fantastic haircut by Jo. I have to say Jo has been cutting my hair for about five years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have to say she is not only a great hairdresser but also has excellent people skills and has a unique ability at putting customers at ease.

I had my hair cut and coloured for the first time by Kirsty and have never been so happy with my hair!! I was not satisfied with my hair colour before but had struggled to find a hairdresser to colour it the way I wanted it. I could not believe the transformation, cannot recommend her enough. And such a nice atmosphere in the salon. 5 stars all round!

Fabulous haircut and lovely respectful and friendly stylist. I was shocked at the price though. I need to remember to check that before booking the appointment, in future. Perhaps that's the cost of a good haircut these days. I just hope the stylists are well paid for their undoubted skills and creativity.

Fantastic staff who know their stuff, and won't cut more than you ask for but happy to advise if you need it. Free drinks are a plus, as is the online booking system and text reminders. Can't recommend more!
