Medusa is my favourite salon I’ve been to so far: great staff and clean and welcoming environment.

I’ve been three times so far and I haven’t been disappointed once. It is a little pricey (especially for a student) but it is worth investing in your hair. Would and have recommended this salon to friends.

Marco was excellent and gave me the best haircut I have had in Scotland. The Hanover street salon felt very COVID safe and I would definitely Recommend it to anyone!

Marco did an amazing job on my pre-Christmas haircut! The best hairdresser ever and I wouldn’t go to anyone else in Edinburgh. He is great to chat to, makes me feel completely at ease and always makes my hair look great. He knows exactly what I want without me having to say anything! Couldn’t recommend him enough!!

Overall, my hair looks alive again! I have long wavy hair and it takes me a moment to depart with my dead ends. I am a stage 5, dead ends clinger with my hair, due to my love of long hair. However, the end result made me glad I did! I have beautiful fresh locks, whilst still maintaining a good length.

I’m a first-time (but def not last-time) visitor to the salon. I came in for a long-overdue change and had seen some of Paul’s recent cuts on Instagram. I’m so delighted with the results and I had a really relaxing, enjoyable experience too.

I had a lot of regrowth and wanted a balayage effect to blend my hair more naturally- not the easiest to do but Marco did a fantastic job and I’m really happy with the look! Michael also did a great cut for me. Happy to have found my new salon!

Marco was amazing and did an incredible job cutting and shaping my curls! Such a great experience, my first time at Medusa, and so nervous because I have very coiled curly hair, I will definitely be back!

Michael was so lovely and knew exactly what I wanted with very little hesitation. The salon felt safe and clean and was very welcoming. My haircut was professional and he took his time to make sure it was done to a high standard. I absolutely love it! I’ll be back again for sure.

Paul always makes me feel welcome when I come in the salon. He listens to me, making our chats genuine. I trust him when I want a change of style and colour . Once you go Paul, you'll never go back!!

A fabulous relaxing experience with Paul and Isla. A huge thanks to Paul for a great colour I absolutely love it.

I felt very reassured with the care that Paul took in looking after me. It was a relief to get my hair done - highlights and a haircut - after a longer period and I was really happy with the results! Excellent job.

It was my first time at Medusa so I had no idea what to expect but I am so glad I visited. I’m absolutely in love with my new hair. Paul is lovely and did an amazing job, I left feeling like a brand new woman :)

I had my hair dye toner put in and was rally good. The atmosphere was really good and the customer service was also really good.

I followed Marco to Medusa when he started working there and can not recommend him enough. He’s the type of stylist you can trust to have free reign to do whatever, because he knows exactly what you want, even when you don’t.

Marco nailed it again. Great service and no fuss. Marco worked his magic again for a great styled cut. Bellissimo!

I've just got an amazing haircut by Marco, who is not only a great stylist, able to guess the style I want even before I ask for it, but also incredibly kind and able to make me feel like a Hollywood star even in my darkest days! Can't wait to be back!

First time visiting this salon and I will definitely be going back ASAP. It is expensive but worth it. It’s better to pay extra and know your hair is being looked after! Paul and Isla were great and helped me decide what I wanted and I will be making an appointment for them both again!

I used to go to Marco in his old salon, so I was pleased to see he relocated nearby to Medusa.
I'm very particular about my fringe and Marco is pretty much the only hairdresser who I trust with it! I can always trust that we're on the same page about the look I'm going for and he always executes it perfectly! I know every time I go to Marco I will not be disappointed

I was the only customer in the salon at the time, which was nice. Despite being the only one in, staff were still wearing masks and gloves at all times, which I really appreciated.

Paul was very friendly and approachable. He provided brilliant in-depth knowledge of colour and technique. I am very pleased with my hair it feels great to be blonde.

Just had shatush done by Marco and absolutely love it. Best hair colourist in Edinburgh and a great cut as well.

Isla was very helpful and her usual happy self. My haircut is excellent as always.

Paul was my stylist and he was beyond amazing. I came to the salon with hair in quite a bad state but Paul managed to completely transform it into something so beautiful and beyond what I imagined I've never been so pleased with how my hair has turned out! It looks amazing. You can really tell paul enjoys what he does and hes so great at it, extremely attentive, talented and does everything he can to achieve perfection! 100000% recommend!
