Over the moon with my hair, on entering the salon my hair was looking very tired and in real need of a colour and cut.
Ollie was my stylist, I found he was very knowledgeable and good at giving advice. I find Ollie takes a lot of pride in his work and likes to do the best for his client. Some hair stylist were a lot quicker, but I feel this isn’t as good as Ollie. He takes time and care with you and your hair. Kept me fully up to date of every step. I will certainly be returning for Ollie to do my hair again. Well done and Thank you Ollie. I think I should have been asked if I was happy for apprentice to do my hair. Although she was good I do have leopard print highlights underneath the top layer and underneath is like white. Maybe if I was informed I would have decided if I was happy to pay full price for apprentice.

My daughter has Sensory Autism and the hairdressers is a big fear for her. We had Shaun as her hairdresser today and he literally couldn’t do anything to cater for her. He was patient, kind and very caring and made sure my daughter was comfortable every step of the way - my daughter started out very scared and nervous and by the end of it she started to show Shaun a bit of her wonderful personality, she even wants to come back which is an amazing achievement on Shaun’s behalf!! I thought Shaun was very friendly and welcoming. He made me feel very comfortable. I don’t get a blow dry after having hair done, my hair is curly and find most people don’t do it the way I like it so always leave with wet hair by choice. The day after having my hair done I felt disappointed as I had taken pictures of what I wanted and what I didn’t want, at the request of the stylist. When I arrived home my husband thought I had changed my mind as my hair didn’t look anything like what I wanted. It wasn’t light and blonde although it was lighter, wasn’t blonde. I feel like I’ve saved and finally decided to treat myself for no significant difference. I’m not sure if this is due to wrong colour choice, wrong technique or a miscommunication. But having provided a photo of my desired result and a photo of what I didn’t want, I left with what I didn’t want. I also had to go buy curl cream at boots to make it somewhat presentable as no finish was given. I genuinely think the hair dressers and assistants have no real idea of how to handle curly hair. I parted with £166 and had to buy product to finish before I left the centre. It wasn’t how I expected to feel after visiting an establishment with such a good reputation. I don’t think I will return to PKai. I’ll take my chances with a cheaper more accessible option, I can’t imagine it being any worse in terms of result and satisfaction. The stylist was a lovely man, he even offered to help my mom with her hair, but I don’t feel he paid attention to what I wanted, and didn’t look at the pictures he asked me to provide. Disappointed and discouraged.
