Established over 30 years ago by Lauren Turner, this sustainable and environmentally friendly salon offers a relaxed, warm and friendly ambience that creates a fabulous atmosphere where clients are treated to a 5 star service.

The team are trained to the highest standards in all aspects of hairdressing and enjoy regular courses to keep their skills updated, on trend and innovative. That’s why the salon has won numerous British Hairdressing Awards, an accolade to all our amazing clients, and a credit to the hard work that this team consistently put forward. Coming to Spirit is my sanctuary and a special treat for me. You pay for a whole experience - a detailed consultation, a wide drinks selection, and my favourite...a head massage! It's like a visit to a spa. I hadn't been for years due to living abroad and financial situation but now I'm back I didn't realise how much I missed it. This visit I only had a cut and blow dry but the cut was exceptional and the service wonderful, thank you Lauren and your staff for always making me feel part of the family. Everyone is so welcoming, you look after my every needs from coffee, biscuits to the most amazing head massage which nine times out of ten makes me want to go to sleep. It is a pleasure having my hair done, roll on next month for the full pampering session, colours, cut and blow dry.

This was a task but I was looked after from start to finish! Liz has done an amazing job changing my colour from a faded red box colour to a very sophisticated more natural colour with hi lites. It was a tricky job, but I was reassured throughout. The cut is amazing too..I completely trust and felt in very capable hands. I knew it wouldn't be an easy task but the team who worked with Liz exceeded my expectations!! I am so pleased with the result! So thankyou Liz and the girls who tended to my needs. I will be returning. The salon was clean, the girls are all very professional and obviously know what they are doing, but most of all I felt welcome and that it wasn't a chore..

I absolutely love my new hair!! Best my hair has ever looked! Livvy suggested K-pac products on my previous vist which I used for 10 weeks.....what a difference!! Today, I had full head highlights and Livvy dried it in soft curls! I was so excited going into the salon for my appointment, and I wasn't disappointed! What a transformation! I love the colour, the feel and the style of my new hair! (Just need to try and recreate the curls myself!! 🤣) Love, love, love my hair!! I've got the hair now that I've always wanted (for over 50 years!!) Thanks Livvy....you are so talented!!

What a find! This salon is a 'gem'. Generally I don't like going to a hairdresser as the results are underwhelming, but Lauren and Lucy were fantastic. My hair was a progressive style and colour, and after two visits, what a result! I am so happy! I felt at ease and the salon has a great atmosphere, unlike generic salons! Without hesitation I would highly recommend a visit 😁
