Established over 30 years ago by Lauren Turner, this sustainable and environmentally friendly salon offers a relaxed, warm and friendly ambience that creates a fabulous atmosphere where clients are treated to a 5 star service.

The team are trained to the highest standards in all aspects of hairdressing and enjoy regular courses to keep their skills updated, on trend and innovative. That’s why the salon has won numerous British Hairdressing Awards, an accolade to all our amazing clients, and a credit to the hard work that this team consistently put forward. An amazing experience at the salon. Sofia was very professional from our consultation to the final look! I was guided as to what would work well for my hair and how to maintain it.

My hair is very thick and frizzy however Sofia worked her magic to give me the look I was after.

I'm a bit late in posting my review but I cannot rave enough about the service and results. I was in on 31st July for several hours but it flew by. My hair is very dark (plus some grey now) and many years of box dye...but Piper was able to lighten it to a very nice dark blonde before colouring it purple. The pre consultation was thorough and informative, the day was wonderful because all the staff are just lovely and I was so so happy with the end result. I cannot praise Spirit enough! Thank you so much!

Spirit hair are once again miracle workers when it comes to me, my ideas/big changes & the challenges they always know what to do! This time I was going for a pretty big change, but I am always so unsure what may work for my face shape so I ask the ladies for their opinion. Sofia was worried the big change from my current length to the one I wanted might shock me or overwhelm me, so instead of jumping straight to it she sat down with me looked at the photos I had, spoke to me about what herself & Lauren were worried about as I struggle with energy due to long term illness so they didnt want it to become higher maintenance bless them. So Sofia had a plan. Take me from current length to halfway between that & short like I wanted, just to see if I like the difference whether I wanna give it a few weeks at that length then go further or whether I would cope with going more now. Showed me during the process what the back looked like kept me informed & explained why she was doing certain things which I really like & it makes me feel at ease. I decided to go the short I wanted & honestly it looks & feels amazing. My head feels lighter which will hopefully mean less pain/pressure on my neck, its great for this weather we are having & it looks really cool 😎 even my partner didnt freak out as hes never seen me with short hair in our entire relationship, & hes obsessed with the way the back of it feels, as am I! Sofia & i discussed how often I may need to come in to keep it like it is now, but I said my hair grows quite slow the only thing that is probably need touching up on is the longer part near my face. We didnt book a next appointment straight away as I am unsure when I will need one/afford one so she said there was no pressure & I can ring when I feel ready.

I was feeling fed up with my hair. I had a patchwork of grey which I really didn’t like. Lauren talked to me about what I liked and didn’t like and came up with a plan which involved blending of colour using foils. I was only booked in for a cut and blow dry but Lauren wanted me to feel good about my hair and made the time to do the additional work. I was so grateful to her for doing this for me. I left the salon feeling fabulous. I’m so lucky to go to a salon that cares for their clients and go the extra mile to ensure we have a great experience. Thank you so much!

Arrived at 5:00 pm on Wednesday 2nd April 2025 to be greeted as always by the very friendly staff. After washing my hands which is standard practice at this salon, I was helped into my gown and offered a drink. Coffee, water and biscuits etc. always available which is a godsend especially if you are in the salon for a few hours. On this occasion I had the colours stripped out then washed thoroughly to cleanse, once my hair was dried Lauren the owner and amazing stylist, chose the new colours to be put in which included raspberry, yellow, violet and bright copper. Lauren thanks for the great cut, colours and blow dry as always, Imogen thank you for keeping me topped up with coffee etc. and the wonderful head massage. A lovely relaxing evening with great conversation even though I did nod off a couple of times ☺☺
