Its so dissapointing to read about your experience when coming to see us, I cant lie it has been a challenging few months... the leak was from a very old boiler we inherited with the salon and were unable to get a builder and plumber quickly to sort it out. The ceiling has now been done but we had yet another leak.( Fortunatley not so bad )
The salon was completley repainted just 18 months ago, i also noticed the marks on the walls so clearly the wrong sort of paint has been used.
Trays should be cleaned before each customer and young summer staff have helped us over the busy summer period.
Feedback is vital to any small business in these differcult times and i i appreciate your comments.
Hopefully see you again soon and you will see our lovely, friendly high street salon back to its old self.

I had a great experience donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust. The salon arranged everything and kindly did it for free. My stylist was patient, kind, and offered lots of style options. I really appreciated their care and generosity—highly recommended!
Always excellent. Michelle is skilled and takes time to find out what is needed and gives helpful advice. I have returned to her to have my hair treated on many occasions over years.
As always Ruby was polite , cheerful and I was very pleased with my wash and blow dry.

Love it here. A really friendly team with my fave being Andrew! They listen to what you want from your hairstyle, make suggestions and then deliver just what you want.
Overall I had a good experience, could be a little bit cleanerr though.
Ruby is definitely a rising star. With a friendly and knowledgeable approach and great conversation, she has twice transformed my style to be one that is met with compliments. I trust Ruby completely with the scissors around my hair.

Beautiful hair cut and Michelle was wonderful as ever. However the salon felt rather un-loved, ceiling dreadful (obviously had a problem and not all repaired yet). Also not terribly clean. Very unusual as usually impeccable. I hope the salon gets back to usual fine quality quickly..

My usual stylist Andrew was unwell, so Jo very kindly fitted me into her list for the day, for which I was grateful.
I hadn't been for some time, and was taking a friend with me so didn't want to rearrange. Jo did a lovely job and was very helpful to my friend too.
Ruby gave me a beautiful colour change from black, she was professional and kind. Tilda did my tape hair extensions and regular blowdry and styling and always does a beautiful job with my hair. The salon is welcoming, relaxing and the girls know how to make your hair exactly as you ask for. I couldn't be happier with the service. Thank you so much!

This time was a challenge: my son had not had his hair cut since COVID, but finally he decided it was time for a change! Being a somewhat unique circumstance, rather than using the straight forward Online Booking System, I phoned directly to explain what was what and book the appointment.
When we arrived, my Son was soon put at ease (he can be anxious). Jo soon sussed out what was required: chop most of the hair off, and start again by cutting & shaving the remaining hair to Factor 3. The transformation was professionally and neatly done - and most welcome! He certainly liked the change :-)
He hasn't booked a new appointment yet - we agreed that we would wait and see if he wants to keep his new image !!
Robyn regularly colours, cuts and blow dries my hair. She is professional, caring, good company, and always does an excellent job in a relaxing environment. Sam, the Salon owner, manages an excellent team.

If s not often you get what you ask for and you do at The Strand. They listen and give advice and do what you want in a friendly professional manner. I honestly wish I’d been going here forever as Im a regular colour every 4-5 weeks person. I cannot rate them highly enough!
Evie has shown great potential to become an excellent stylist. She has a good interpersonal manner and is a pleasure to be treated by her.
I am so delighted with my new haircut . Jo has styled it so beautifully that I’ll only have to wash my hair,lean forward and give it a good dry using no finesse whatsoever other than directing the hairdryer towards my head. When I straighten up again the hair falls into place because she has cut it so well. She even says that if I need the fringe trimmed a little between appnts to pop in and they would do it for free!
