I was very pleased with my visit to Indigo Rye. All the people were helpful and friendly throughout my experience. . Riley was thorough, and found the perfect colour for my hair, which I am really happy with. She was friendly and helpful. Also at the wash station the young lady was friendly helpful and attentive. I enjoyed the seat massage along with my head massage . I always enjoy my visit to Indigo Rye and leave in a thoroughly relaxed state.
Riley always does a fantastic job on my hair colour. She always listens to what I would like and advises on what would work best with great results.
I have been coming since IR opened and had several excellent stylists and it’s always a bit worrying to have a new one. But I had one of my best haircuts yesterday with Charlie. She took lots of time to consult with me and suggest what she might do. Great haircut.

Many thanks for the note regarding prices going up. Unfortunately this is purely down to government policies and 100% not down to profiteering.
Last year from April 2025 the budget introduced increases in employers national insurance as well as significant increases in minimum wages (this impacts our 9 trainees) which added in excess of £40k of costs. (Tax)
We didn’t even make £40k profit the previous year.
This April we now have the double whammy of another minimum wage increase plus significant increases in rates. Not to mention our main suppplier Wella at 5%, even our commercial waste costs have gone up 6%!
As the owner my “take” is below the minimum wage so we have cut all costs to the bone to ensure that prices are kept as low as possible but unfortunately in April we have no choice but to increase again to ensure the business survives but also to ensure that the future generation of hair dressers (our trainees) remain employed and trained for future years.
Hope that clarifies the price rise last year and the small increase coming this year.
Sorry but it’s totally down to Rachel Reeves and her budgets and our determination to stay in business.

Indigo Rye has been my go to salon for more than 25 years 😮. I’m a ‘book when I have some time coming up’ rather than an every 6 weeks girl so have had the pleasure of many of the stylists. Have never had a bad one. Today I saw Rachel and she was great. Lovely environment. Was busy and buzzy today. Always well looked after - from the massage chair to the quality hair products to the refreshments. Highly recommend.
