All the staff helped me
So relieved to have a Long overdue haircut today! Received the usual warm and friendly greeting when I arrived. After putting on a gown I was shown to a chair and shortly after James came. We discussed how much my hair had grown, what length and style I wanted it cut to. After my hair wash and turn in the massage chair and While my hair was being cut, we discussed what products I used at home and which products were being used in the salon and their purpose. As usual I love my new haircut and James’ attention to detail and cutting skills are fantastic!
Kaia blow dried my usually difficult hair the day before a wedding and even thought it was the day before, with her instructions on how to keep it pristine and perfect blow dry, it looked exactly as I wanted it and ‘just done’ on the day. She was brilliant!
Today I had the pleasure of visiting Indigo Rye for a cut and blow-dry, and I had an appointment with the director, James. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands.
First off, they were absolutely on time, which I truly appreciate as someone who values punctuality. The salon itself is spotlessly clean, welcoming, and has a calm, stylish vibe. The staff are not only professional but also incredibly friendly and accommodating—it instantly puts you at ease.
The service was exceptional from start to finish. I was warmly welcomed, offered a beverage, and felt genuinely cared for every step of the way. James was brilliant—attentive, skilled, and kind. At one point, I lost a precious stud earring during the appointment, and he went above and beyond to help, even checking the sinks. I was lucky enough to find it… only to lose it again just as I left! I sheepishly returned, and to my surprise and gratitude, the team once again went the extra mile and found it. Their kindness and attention to detail truly touched me.
I left the salon not only looking refreshed but feeling uplifted—exactly what you’d hope for from a great salon experience. I’ve already booked my next appointment and am genuinely looking forward to returning. Thank you so much, Indigo Rye, and especially James—you’ve gained a loyal client!
Had my usual root tint with Becky and as ever she is brilliant! Checks in with any changes in colour I would like and how my hair is doing. Great advice on keeping the moisture in and lovely treatment to keep it feeling well looked after. Can’t recommend Becky or Indigo Rye highly enough!

I originally had a cut by Gail, absolutely brilliant! Went back for a further restyle with James. Both Gail and James listened and styled my hair exactly how I wanted it. I’m going back for more colour this week!
Great service from the minute you walk in through the front door. Every member of staff is friendly and welcoming Becky is by far the best colour technician I’ve ever had. (And I’ve been to a few salons over the years in many different parts of the world!)
Riley and James coloured and cut my hair today and it’s great! It was too long and too light and now it’s lovely! I’ve had a relaxing afternoon and came away feeling fab!

I was a bit disgusted to be honest ! 15 minutes on an uneven trim that cost me £40.00 for a 3 year old !? Words fail me !
As a loyal and regular client of our salon, you know how deeply we value providing exceptional service and workmanship. We were truly saddened to read your recent review, especially given unfortunate circumstances surrounding your granddaughter’s appointment.
After speaking with the team, I have a clear understanding of the situation. Your granddaughter had her hair significantly cut by her brother which understandably caused a great deal of distress. I also understand that there was an initial attempt to cancel the appointment, and that you arrived late with concerns already about how badly her hair was and could we salvage the brothers involvement of her cropped hair
Our young stylist did her absolute best with what hair remained, and your granddaughter was cared for with compassion for over 40 minutes. The entire team did their utmost to make the experience as comfortable as possible for you all along with refreshments.
Given all this, we feel the review was somewhat unfair, particularly as no concerns were raised with us directly at the time — especially regarding the pricing. Your appointment was booked as an under-20s service, and our pricing reflected that.
As a small, independent business, we care deeply about our clients and take feedback seriously. We always welcome open, honest conversations, and we would have appreciated the chance to address your concerns in person.
Disgusted is a strong word in the event of the above and sad this review was given especially with your star ratings

Going to Indigo Rye is always a real treat for me. To be offered a hot drink as soon as I arrive is lovely. Charlie washed my hair carefully and gave me a wonderful head massage whilst I had my feet up and enjoyed a back massage from the chair. She is a lovely girl and we had a good chat which I enjoyed.
