Bellissimo is a 5500 square foot award-winning hair and beauty salon in Galway, offering a fantastic range of treatments under one roof. Our stylists are up-to-date with the latest cutting techniques and hair trends, while our Wella hair colour experts are masters in their field - creating sensational hair colours for our Irish and international clients.

When it comes to beauty, our experienced therapists will have you looking fabulous from top to toe with services including facials, massages, nails, lashes & brows, tanning and make-up.

We also offer a confidential and discreet hair loss service in a private room at our Galway salon. Here you can seek advice and try on our array of high-quality wigs and hair pieces which can then be expertly cut & shaped to suit you.

Jade was extremely friendly and helpful. Often have felt very under pressure to choose a colour in other places but she gave me lots of time to decide on colour/design and offered suggestions and ideas too. Very happy with my nails.

I booked the only appointment left for toe file and polish, I didn't get the beauticians name but she was lovely and did a great job. I mentioned that I'd love to get my fingers done but there were no appointments left, Michelle went to check and came back to say she had 20 mins before her next client and offered to do my nails. She did shellac and did a fab job. I couldn't be happier with the job on both sets of nails and the way I was accommodated and treated by both girls

Aaron did a great job of listening to what I wanted and executing exactly that. I left feeling like I had had a make over and had been given sound advice about colour and products I enquired about. Hi Karen, we appreciate your feedback. Whilst we do appreciate your comments we want to acknowledge that you booked your own appointment on our online booking system for 'shellac nails with removal' however when you arrived you had a full set of gel nails on (not shellac). Maybe you weren't aware that your previous salon had used a gel based product but these are two completely different services and require completely different time slots. Our nail technician explained this to you and did her level best to provide you with the service in the time allocated by your own booking. Whilst your experience here was not what you expected we would hope and love to see you back at Bellissimo again.

Made a booking for color change. Had a terrible experience with a young nail tech. Red polish was removed from my nails but was smudged into my fingers. Yes, half way up my fingers. Was told it would come when I would was them. Water does not remove red nail polish. Then lashing of coats of the same red polish was applied my nails and yes, my fingers Some of the nail beds weren’t painted entirely however. This took a full hour. The polish was lumpy and not atall finish and when I questioned it the technician got annoyed with me and said, that was the best she could do and got up and walked away. I think had to go for a hair apt after which the senior hair tech repolished my nails perfectly in ten minutes. It also appears I was charged for ( didn’t realize at the time ) for a manicure as opposed to a polish change. Absolutely, ridiculous.

Hi Maura, we appreciate your feedback and as we are known for a 5 star service we have thoroughly investigated your review and take it very seriously. We need to sincerely apologise for your underwhelming experience with your nail technician. Albeit that you brought your own products and polishes etc and our technician was not familiar with these products there is still no excuse for the experience you had and we have learned from that. A senior nail technician did step in and rectified the situation on the day and we felt you were happy when checking out. You were charged the correct price of €20 for the file and polish. We would love to have the opportunity to prove our 5 star service to you and would hope to see you back at Bellissimo the next time you visit Galway.

I had a very pleasant and enjoyable time today getting my nails done by the very lovely and friendly girl Jade. She did a super job, I'm extremely happy with both the colour and length of my nails having 2 broken nails before I came in. I went to Bellisimo last week to have my hair colour corrected.. My hair had been coloured for years with toxic dyes and was in terrible condition… I live in Vancouver and have tried to get this problem remedied for a long time, without success. I visited Karen in Bellisimo and I have to say my experience with her was nothing short of phenomenal… She didn’t rush the consultation, she listened to what I perceived to be my problem and was extremely patient, friendly and professional in her approach to me..
I have been to hair salons all over the world and I can say, without hesitation, that this consultation and subsequent remedy to my problem was nothing short of very very satisfying…
I was in awe of the attitude of the entire staff and I would highly recommend you visit them for any hair services… I would give them 10/10 in all aspects and as a fussy person that is quite the recommendation….. best of luck, they are just great…. Thanks Karen and I will definitely be back.
