Great cut/colour - shame about finish

I had my hair cut here by Rachel and was absolutely over the moon with it - so much so that I decided to return later the same week to have highlights. Unfortunately the 'finish' was left to a (very) junior who clearly had no idea about drying curly hair or using a diffuser. After 30 minutes and continued over-application of products, I asked her to stop. Very poor - especially considering that the cut and colour cost almost £200. The girl on reception was very apologetic and didn't charge me for the 'treatment' I'd had after I pointed out that I'd have to rewash my hair at home. Not impressed at all!

A good salon but quite expensive

I've been to Sassoon in Leeds a few times, simply because you think.. well it's Sassoon, you can't go wrong.
And whilst I've never had a bad cut there I find the whole experience a bit awkward and expensive.
Each stylist seems to have a different 'level' which means a different price. That would be fine if there were 3 levels, but there are 8 I think! And when I booked I was asked what level stylist I wanted. When realistically, I just wanted someone friendly that was going to do a good job - what level is that?
Each time I've asked for a mid-level stylist in the hope that was a safe option, and as I said, the cuts have been good. But they should be at nearly £90 for a cut and quick treatment. Eek!
I would recommend it if you're one of those people that wants a really fashionable cut with a great stylist and can afford the pricetag.
If you just want a trim, I'd go elsewhere!
