Saks Hair Ilkley

Excellent service as always with equally excellent hair advice.

I arrived in Ilkley after a 7hr drive up from South Devon on Friday afternoon 28.11.25. Rang the Saks salon around the corner from The Wheatley Arms where I usually stay. Thankfully Joseph managed to fit me in for a wash & blow dry on the Saturday morning! I was tired out after my drive & a busy week at work - so very happy at getting washing my hair etc myself out of the way. Will definitely use Saks on each of my forthcoming visits! It's now Monday - back in my office - & hair still looks fabulous!

Joseph at Saks Ilkley is an exceptional hairdresser and a true professional. He’s been cutting my hair since 2009, and every visit is consistently excellent. Not only does he deliver fantastic results, but he also creates a welcoming and friendly atmosphere—we always have a great chat during my appointments. His attention to detail and personal touches, like giving me a Christmas card every year, make the experience feel genuinely special. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair!

Fiona does my hair as well as my two sons. She always does a fabulous job of my hair and listens to what I want, and gives good advice about style, colour and condition. The appointments are always relaxing and enjoyable.
My sons are 2 and 5 and she is always patient throughout. They are always happy to have their haircut as they have always had a great experience!

Fiona is easy to communicate with and always tries to accommodate me with last minute appointments or changes. I would definitely recommend Fiona!

My daughter was given her fist colour experience with a beautiful balayage done by Fiona- just what we asked for- natural, sun kissed and soooo stylish!

Always a wonderful experience coming to Saks, I recently moved to North Yorkshire from the Midlands and had been going to the same hairdressers for 30 years, and had an awful cut and colour at another supposedly high end salon in Skipton when I first moved when I booked an appointment on a whim. I’m so glad I subsequently found this absolute gem of a place, Saks in Ben Rhydding. The salon is lovely, parking is easy and free, and Joseph is an outstanding hairdresser, and my hair is finally getting back to normal. The colour is beautiful, and he really ‘gets’ my hair so the cut always sits great too, and you just know you’re always going to walk out looking amazing. I won’t be going anywhere else now.

A great cut, makes my hair easy care with little fuss.

I called in on last min for a cut and colour advice and I wasn’t disappointed. Joseph was great & was able to slot me in for a cut which I’m very pleased with. Colour booked in for a later date. Thank you! 🤩

Lovely staff and lovely shop. Felt very welcome. I usually just have my hair done and never go back to the same hairdressers as never felt like they cared and was also over priced. However Saks was priced well and definitely worth the price and the staff are super friendly. Enjoyed my visit so much that I am booked in again which is very unlike me.

Fiona listened to my wishes for my hair colour and gave great advice about how we could achieve the colour I was hoping for
She also listened carefully to my wishes for my style and the challenges I have with my hair. She cut it really well and gave good advice about products to try to help with the frizzy mess of my hair.

I have been a client of Saks in Ben Rhydding, Ilkley for about nine years. Fiona has seen me through at least four different hair styles with accompanying changes of highlights and colouring. She is the ultimate professional stylist that can see what a client wants and gives good advice about how to achieve ‘the look’ you want. I am reminded of her skills every day when I glance in the mirror. I have such a good cut that a ‘bad hair day’ is never on the cards! Going to the salon is a pleasure.
