I’ve been going to Allan at The King’s Chair for nearly ten years now and, hand on heart, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Allan is incredibly talented at what he does. Every single time I leave the salon I feel like a million pounds, which considering the state I usually walk in with is no small achievement. He just has that natural ability to know what works and somehow makes your hair look better than you imagined it could.

What really makes the place though is the atmosphere. Allan and Olivia are both genuinely lovely people. Warm, attentive and always welcoming. It never feels rushed or transactional. You’re made to feel properly looked after from the moment you walk through the door.

Having spent a lot of time in London, I honestly never thought I’d find a hairdresser as good as the one I had there. Somehow Allan has not only matched that standard but completely surpassed it.

I recommend The King’s Chair to anyone who will listen. Friends, family, and probably a few strangers who have made the mistake of mentioning they need a haircut.

If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about their craft and their clients, Allan is your man.

Safe to say, after nearly a decade in Allan’s chair, I’m not planning on sitting in anyone else’s.

Waited seven weeks for my appointment with Allan at The Kings Chair. Definitely worth the wait. Also booked a light clouding and supremely happy with both the cut and color. I live in Germany but have yet to find a better hairdresser than here. Already booked my appointments through to Easter and it’ll be worth the wait (and flight!)

My favourite hair for the last 7 years now. Refuse to go to any other hairdresser. I’ve difficult hair it’s frizzy, fly away thick and long and he always gives me a gorgeous hair cut I always leave happy. Before I found this hair dresser I had some bad hair cuts so this is why I won’t stray from Allen’s hair dressers. He’s so passionate about what he does and so commented to his work. This is something you’ll pick up for yourself as you get to know him. He set up on his own and of course all his clients including me were desperate to find him.
