I love this place. I've been twice now and both times I've been really impressed. Koralie is really lovely and knows what she's talking about, she has really good ideas and sticks to what you ask for. A couple of things I love aside from the lovely Koralie - they don't bother you with idle chitchat while you're trying to enjoy your head massage and there isn't a hard sell on products which you get in other salons - this I love. All very relaxing and quite luxurious. I finally feel my hair is in safe hands. Looking forward to my next visit soon ????

Receptionist could offer me a colour appointment.. Stylist Becky was s lovely bubbly girl who did my hair beautifully. I asked if there had been any cancellations for a cut which there had so I was able to have the cut as well with Becky - again delighted with her, the cut and the friendly service of all the girls in the salon. What I particularly like about velvet rooms is the unpretentious atmosphere you feel really comfortable there and nothing is too much trouble.
Really lovely salon, great haircare with friendly staff in a 'boutique' style setting. They are always looking to improve their services and make everyone's visit a real 'treat'! Would definitely recommend.

A lovely salon and atmosphere, Faith cut and coloured my hair beautifully, exactly as I'd asked. Everyone wasfriendly and professional but there's still a relaxed atmosphere. I particularly loved the gorgeous dog (sorry, I've forgotten his name!) who greeted me as I sat down!

I am so happy that Velvet Rooms was recommended to me after years of searching for a hairdressers that was reasonably priced. But to find a salon where the hairdresser actually listens to you and does what you want - priceless!!! The girls are all fabulous, and are always up for a giggle - none of the small talk you normally get in other places.
Plus a meet and greet from gorgeous Murphy (the dog) makes it even better! Cannot recommend this place enough!

I had my hair cut and coloured by Beccy for the second time the other day and could not be happier with the result. Before going to Velvet Rooms my hair was not the same colour all over from continuously doing box sets and after having it done I love being able to put my hair up in a ponytail without worrying about the colour difference. I also loved that I could show a picture of how I liked my hair and she would do it exactly the same. The salon itself had a great vibe, everyone was happy and the look was modern and clean. Worth the money.

I can't praise Leanne and her staff highly enough. I've been coming to this salon for a couple of years nearly and love it. The staff cannot do enough and Leanne always has me feeling great when I leave the salon.

First visit to The Velvet Rooms and was extremely happy with the service provided. Warm, professional and efficient. I have Maria to thank for sorting my hair out. She transformed all the brassy tones out of my blonde hair and the result was a cool, toned, and soft head of hair. I really couldn't believe the result after just one visit. So pleased I've already booked my next appointment.
Had never been to Velvet Rooms before so when I called to make an appointment, I asked for the most psychic stylist/colourist they had because she would have to be to understand what I wanted because I can never explain it. Well, Emma was the first hairdresser EVER to give me exactly what I wanted the first time. Lovely person and an even better hairdresser. She's a genius. Or psychic. Or both. I don't really care, I'm just perfectly thrilled that I've finally found her! Thank you, Emma!

After several years of expensive haircuts that we weren't happy with we gave VR a try.
2 of my son's, my daughter and I have all had our hair cut here by Maria. My daughter and youngest son are both on the autistic spectrum and usually find hairdressers a frightening place. Not only is the atmosphere calming but Maria is really good with them and makes them feel so at ease - they say it's the best hairdressers with the most comfortable sinks !
I've just had my platinum blonde ends returned to their natural colour by Maria and my daughter is so happy that we now 'look related '- a massive thank you Maria for making a young, and old, girl very happy !

My cut and colour is always top service from Maria. I have been to a few hair salons without feeling 100% satisfaction of hair treatments received . From having my hair synged to having to pay extra for a blow dry . The velvet rooms is by far the best hair salon I have come across. Everyone has there own unique way of style and you can really tell they know what they are doing , trying there best and go out of there way to listen and give a great hair treatment :)
