I've been going to Holly for about 2 years now and I always leave the salon so much more confident than I walked in. I am always in love with my hair and would recommend booking in with her if you're looking for a great hairdresser.

As always, Sophie took the time to listen to what I wanted. She referred to photos she took last time she cut my hair, to make sure she understood. The cut is brilliant. Done with skill and precision. Very happy with result

I’ve been visiting Sophie at T&G for over a year now since I moved to Sheffield and she is the best hairdresser I’ve ever had. She really listens to what I want and is a truly skilled hairdresser who knows how to deal with my very thick and unruly hair. Plus she is an all round lovely person and I always look forward to seeing her. The T&G Salon itself is lovely, very clean, great (free) drinks and all staff are friendly and attentive. Lauren did an amazing job with my colour as always. She always manages to make my blonde highlights look so natural. After some stressful hair appointments at other places in the past, I won’t let anyone else colour my hair! Holly also did a trim and blow dry for me, she listened to exactly what I wanted and didn’t cut too much off or make me feel bad about the condition of my hair like so many hairdressers do! Relaxing afternoon and fab service.Thanks ladies x

Not been in a while. Right enjoyed my visit. My hair looks great, service was spot on.

They were welcoming ,but it was clear an understanding of my African permed hair was not as extensive.
They should know the difference of permed hair and curly natural hair it is important to diversify clientele.
Knowledge on how to handle in general an African woman’s hair is important to encourage all types of people to come through and feel comfortable for them to handle such hair.

My hair looks good. That's the main thing, right?
That said, for years I've visited Toni and Guy salons. It used to be a bespoke, luxury experience. I don't know if company policies have changed or if the Sheffield branch is different, but the experience feels rushed now. The place is loud and the chairs are crammed in. Hard to have a conversation without raising your voice. Moreover, I used to walk in and say 'hi, I have a photoshoot tomorrow - improvise'. I'm not a hair expert. I trust the judgement of the stylists. They used to be so enthusiastic about creative ideas and I would always walk away with something new and interesting. Now, when I say things like 'I trust your judgement, make me look cool', I often get responses like 'I don't know what you mean, do you have a picture, I can't cut your hair unless you tell me what you want', etc. Yesterday I was even told 'you're contradicting yourself' - I don't know anything about hairdressing. I wouldn't walk into McDonalds and tell them how to cook the fries. I'd probably contradict myself there as well.

Don't get me wrong, other than this, everyone was polite and I got a decent hair cut, but that won't stop me looking elsewhere for the bespoke, leisurely, creative experience I used to get at the Toni and Guy salon when I lived in a different city.

Friendly and helpful with good advice on style and products. Hair feels and looks fab.

I am so, so happy with my colour and style. My hair was looking sad and the T and G team really listened to me and did a fabulous job. I have had so many compliments.
