The salon may work well for many people – it was busy when I visited, and I’m sure most customers are happy. But my personal experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this place for hair colouring.
I had a paid consultation with a manager before my appointment, where I was reassured that if I paid the premium price, I would get exactly the result I wanted. I was very specific: I asked for a dark copper red with brown undertones – a deep, warm terracotta shade. Based on that trust, I paid £393 for the service.
Instead, I walked out with a bright, almost neon red that looks nothing like what I asked for. The colour is far too light and vibrant, and on top of that, it’s uneven – with lighter patches throughout my hair, making it look poorly done.
Even worse, my hair is now damaged and dry, clearly over-processed. What was once healthy hair now feels weak and fragile. It’s incredibly disheartening to have spent that amount of money and leave not only unhappy, but with hair that needs months of recovery.
When I contacted the salon, I was told that they don’t offer refunds, but they would be happy to fix the colour. However, their solution involved a so-called “gentle cleanse” – which is really just bleaching again. Given the current condition of my hair, I refused. No bleach was needed to make the colour darker, which was all I asked for.
To sum up: I paid a premium, trusted their guidance, and now I’m left with burnt hair, the wrong colour, and no real resolution.
If you’re looking for a haircut or a blow-dry, maybe this salon is fine. But if you’re thinking of colouring your hair – especially with nuance or care – please think twice. This was one of the most disappointing salon experiences I’ve ever had.
