What a great salon! There is a lot of choice in Oakham as there is for coffee bars but in my opinion this is the best place to have your hair looked after.
You feel comfortable and welcome a soon as you step inside and the ambience is so lovely too. I notice that one client mentioned she had not been spoken to by the 'hair washer', but sometimes it's really good to be 'left alone' to be quiet. I don't always want to chat and the stylists seem to be able to intuit that. Would highly recommend.
Natalie has cut my son's hair for years always with great results, especially now he is a fussy teenager!
Rachael has been doing my hair for the past 14 months and as she is off on maternity leave I had Gemma for the first time today. Extremely pleased. Lovely young lady and my hair looks amazing. Thank you so much. 5 stars across the board

Fantastic cut and blowdry from Sarah Jane. Sarah Jane used to cut my hair some years ago but then she moved away ?. I’ve never found a hairdresser that could do my hair as good as she did. I’m so pleased I found out that Sarah Jane was in this salon ?? Sarah Jane has done a fantastic job and I would recommend her to anyone, I personally won’t be going anywhere else. I once again have a ? on my face.

I had a very positive experience at Thomas Hairdressing today with Natalie. My usual Hairdresser is on maternity leave, and so it is not always easy for another person to step in. Natalie was very professional, pleasant and offered me useful tips when I asked her.
There had been something that had to be dealt with, before I arrived, and I was impressed by the evident support the Team at Thomas’ clearly had for each other. A good experience, and great hair cut!
After seeing on Facebook Thomas hairdressing Oakham was looking for 2 models for a free haircut I decided to give it a try ! Upon arrival I was greeted with a very welcoming hello from who I later found out was called Wayne and Curtis. Curtis cut my hair hair this evening and all I can say is Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou ! He is a complete asset to the company and I will definitely be booking in with him when he’s able to take on his own clients !! The cut was superb and he put me at complete ease of what kind of cut would suit me and my hair situation (I’ve previously lost patches of hair due and they’re currently growing back)! I always feel that having my hair done on a week day is a real treat and as usual my visit to the salon was good experience. The service is always good and it is always nice to catch up with the friendly staff. I would happily recommend Thomas and his salon to anyone.

Thomas listen carefully and almost reproduced what I wanted which is amazing for a first appointment. I rebooked immediately .

Wayne was brilliant. He knew from the start I was nervous from the past experiences and he talked me through step by step what he was doing and made sure I was ok. An amazing transformation from a blank canvas. Highly recommended
My only suggestion would be for slightly more conversation from arrival to hair washing as the lady who washed my hair did not say one thing to me other than the temperature. Wayne as a stylist was brilliant and went beyond what I expected

It’s a treat for me to get my hair done here. I live a long way away but try and fit in a cut and blow dry with Wayne whenever I am visiting my parents. As usual, service was excellent. Wayne always listens to what I want and takes care and time over the cut and finish. I aim to be back!

Absolutely in love with my with hair. It was my first time going to this salon and will definitely be going back. Rachel coloured my hair and I’m absolutely in love with the colour, she was realistic about what I wanted so I was aware it might not turn out like the pictures I showed her. Rachel also made me feel very comfrotable. I think it was Jemma who cut and styled my hair which I’m also very happy with.
The usual excellent service and friendly chat with a top quality cut and blow dry.

Fantastically friendly staff look after both myself and my daughter amazingly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, all three salons are lovely and bright and Clean. Almost like therapy Thomas and daughter are chatting the whole time.
