Having had my hair cut and coloured hundreds of times and used T&G Banbury for about four years, I have never had an experience quite like it.
To apply the highlights my hair was tugged and pulled for over an hour until my scalp was quite sore. To move my head, rather than ask me, the stylist would just jerk my hair sharply or move it with her hands without a word. This wasn't now and again, it was every five minutes. I had to sit with my head at a variety of uncomfortable angles for long periods of time...no stylist has ever required this! After almost an hour I said I couldn't move my head any further to create a more extreme angle and I was told 'Well, the colour will not be applied all the way to the root then'.
For the cut, the stylist would press her hand into my eye socket without warning or request to close my eyes and stood astride my legs- again no one has ever felt the need to do this ever before while working on my hair. The blow dry was again more scalp pain as my hair was pulled and yanked. After four years I won't be back to the salon. This is supposed to be a pleasant experienc. Not an ordeal, for the stylist to perfect their art in whatever way they please on their models.

Leo was amazing - really attentive and thorough. I absolutely love the colour - he really listened to what I wanted. He washed my hair and gave the best scalp massage then did a really good cut and blow dry - exactly what I wanted. You can tell when stylists are rushing to finish and they get sloppy - but Leo was so gentle and took his time. Highly recommend!

Received a good hair colour

I am now a regular at Toni and Guy Banbury and have consistently had great service there. I recently coloured my hair for the first time and the results have been amazing.
On this occasion I returned for a simple cut and blow dry, Leo took care of me and as per usual I left feeling happy and looking better than when I came in.
The staff take time to listen to you, make good recommendations and always know you by name.

Great haircut and excellent service and all on time

Josh was spot on with understanding/interpreting my colour request. The cut and finish was superb. Tony and Guy in banbury have really high quality staff.

One of the worst haircuts I have ever had and the most expensive. I usually see Nikki who is the most amazing stylist but due to being off I had to see someone else. I have gone back to get it sorted by Leo, he has done his best. But I have come out with a really sort hair cut. It was the only way to try to put it right.

I have been a regular customer in Toni and Guy for the past 5 years or so. And out of all people that have washed my hair, Leo has absolutely been the best at doing so. He has a fantastic technique of washing hair and head massaging. As I am honest, he is my favourite person at when it comes to hair wash and I would really much appreciate that it’s him that would do my hair wash each time I come back. To finalise everything he is fantastic and I would like him to hear and read this review.

I really couldn’t ask for a better barber and hairstylist. Hitesh has been cutting my hair for about 7 years now. I really couldn’t ask for any other hairdresser to do my hair and as I am being honest, he is the best and he forever will remain my favourite hairdresser.

Excellent haircut, Yasmin took her time and did a wonderful cut. Hair was in such a mess due to lockdown and not having had one for 5 months. Very pleased.

This was my first visit to the salon and never had Josh style my hair before, it certainly won't be my last. Josh was so attentive and friendly taking time to find out exactly what I wanted and he did just that! I loved what he done and he explained what products to use. The whole salon experience was 5* especially under the current circumstances. Very pleased with everything.

Absolute brilliant hair cut, really took on board how I wanted the end result to look. Spot on, even friends said it’s the best cut they had seen with my current style, have already booked another appointment for end of Feb. Fingers crossed you’ll be open by then ?.

I had a lovely hair cut from Leo, he listened to what I wanted and was honest with what he thought would look good. He did such an amazing job, I’m so pleased with my new haircut in time for Xmas!

Was a bit nervous as Hubble had booked as a surprise; plus I hadn’t had a haircut for a while (at least professional not myself!). Yasmin put me totally at ease, giving advice whilst also listening to me. The clean friendly salon & PPE made for a relaxing experience with a great haircut. Thank you- would definitely recommend and come again.

After a failed self haircut, Leo managed to recreate my hair into a lovely shaggy style. No sign at all of my bodged haircut!! Love it ?

I kept putting off getting my haircut due to COVID but I’m glad I went back today because my haircut is absolutely lovely. Spot on! Yasmin is a brilliant hairdresser who, even though she was super busy, did a really lovely job of making my hair look awesome!

After a year of avoiding the hairdressers, I went for it today and had my hair cut by Josh. He was fun, talented and really listened to what 8 wanted. I left the salon feeling like a had a new head of hair.

My hair had become very damaged and and I lost my natural curls. My hair became very frizzy and breakage was very noticeable, despite using top quality hair products recommended for my type of hair.
I decided on Keratin Smoothing, following lots of research. Two days after treatment I washed my hair and amazingly I was able to 'wash and go' for the first time in years. Frizz has become soft bouncy curls, with absolutely no fuss. Thanks also to Leo for minimalistic trim, that was needed. I would definitely recommend this treatment.

When the salons reopened in July I couldn’t wait to get back into the salon and get my hair cut with my favourite stylist. I had really long hair that was splitting as a result of lock down so I opted for a blunt cut long Bob. It was probably a bit shorter than the inspirational pictures I provided but it was nearly what I was after so I went away happy and left a good review. Since then I found the blunt cut hard to manage as my hair is naturally wavy, so I asked for the ends to be broken up a bit with some long layers and for the bit where it gets longer at the front to be evened off. I even provided a photo. What I’ve ended up with is a nightmare of short layers, the bit at the front is so short it wraps around my ears. She’s pulled the layers up when she was cutting it and it’s resulted in layers that are far too short. By the time it got to the front I could only then see what had happened she it was too late. I had to rush to collect my daughter and just wanted to get out of the chair as quickly as possible to be honest. I’m very disappointed, I thought I had built up quite a good relationship with ***** and the salon but now I don’t even want to look at my hair in the mirror. I was very clear about what I was after and even said I was growing it back as the long Bob didn’t work for me and now it’s even shorter and with monster layers. Bonus. I have a mullet, fantastic. Thanks for that.
