About us

The Hair Emporium is a family-owned brand led by two generations of passionate hairstylists.

Anne McPherson and daughter, Sallyanne, combined their ambition of opening a hair salon together in the summer of 1990.

The duo decided it was the ideal time having both previously owned successful salons. Anne relocated her creative team to Sallyanne’s Studio5 and The Hair Emporium was born.

Now, for nearly three decades The Hair Emporium has focused on delivering the highest quality of hair design and client service. To ensure unfaltering standards, Anne and Sallyanne have personally trained all members of our creative teams.

Many factors meant I'd never stepped foot in a salon for over 25 years. Huge lack of confidence also, never mind such an embarrassing problem as a receeding hairline/alopecia.....Sallyanne was fantastic. Put me at ease. Probably had no idea what a massive step this was for me. Very knowledgeable. Hopefully this will be the start of a whole new life for me

On entering the salon lady spoke to me told her I've got an appointment for 11.30,Natasha took me to a seat and she politely asked if she could get me a drink ,then went over to have my hair washed,after then went to sit back in the seat, and I shown a picture to natasha what I'd like she just got on we her job ,talking to me all the time making me feel at ease and comfortable, The whole of the outcome very satisfied with my new hair cut .Will be coming back so made another appointment we natasha in 7 weeks time ,looking forward to my next appointment, well deserved to ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another enjoyable hair appt today for my roots re-touch & I wanted my blonde highlights toning down a little & Sallyanne chose the right colour to still give a rich colour. Always an enjoyable & relaxing afternoon. Sallyanne also talked me out of chopping my long locks & to have a couple of layers added…..as usual she was right ?

About us

The Hair Emporium is a family-owned brand led by two generations of passionate hairstylists.

Anne McPherson and daughter, Sallyanne, combined their ambition of opening a hair salon together in the summer of 1990.

The duo decided it was the ideal time having both previously owned successful salons. Anne relocated her creative team to Sallyanne’s Studio5 and The Hair Emporium was born.

Now, for nearly three decades The Hair Emporium has focused on delivering the highest quality of hair design and client service. To ensure unfaltering standards, Anne and Sallyanne have personally trained all members of our creative teams.
