About us

TONI&GUY YORK opened in the town in 1998.

We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service. Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice on the latest trends and services.

Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

Members of our Colour team hold the prestigious Wella master colour expert-their knowledge and expertise are on hand to advise you on the latest colours and techniques.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair, the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry and Microlinks/ring Tape extensions. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, Wella, Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. I had an amazing experience, the massage chair while having my hair washed and hot towel treatment was amazing. I felt so relaxed and pampered, which was my main reason for booking the appointment. My hair felt, looked and smelt amazing. The Prosecco was a lovely finishing touch to my morning. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating, will definitely be booking again, I felt like a Queen. ??

Lovely salon, immaculate as usual & with covid 19 safety measures still in place.
Greeted by a friendly young guy on reception. Simply showed Claire 1 picture of how I wanted my hair to look and an hour later had a perfect haircut. Wanted the back very short & it is - all beautifully scissor cut by hand - no razors!
Have been using this salon for nearly 5 years and have had several different stylists cut my hair & I’ve always been happy. Would 100% recommend T&G York ( & if you think it’s a bit more expensive than others then believe me it’s worth every )penny

I had a wonderful relaxing 3 hours at Toni and Guy being pampered at the salon with a full head of highlights and a cut from Clare.

I am so fussy about cuts that I come to Toni and Guy when my hair needs cutting. Which is about twice a year.

The colourist spent time consulting me on my colour. I said I wanted it to look natural.

I told Clare that I wanted to retain my choppy layered hairstyle.

The results were stunning.

Clare also recommend a shampoo and conditioner to suit my hair type.

All the staff were superb.

As ever, I am highly delighted with my colour which was carried out by Rona. I am, however, very disappointed that I didn’t get a proper blow dry and consequently left the salon with flat hair. I was advised by Connor, who dried my hair, that if I wanted a proper blow dry, I would need to pay an extra £20. This is totally unacceptable and a proper blow dry should be included in the cost. On speaking to some friends, who also get their hair cut and coloured at T&G, they were told the same, and no longer go to the salon because of this. Surely when you walk out of the salon you should feel good about your hair and sadly, this was not my experience today.

I want to thank Amy for my appointment, I was nervous having a different hairdresser than usual. Yet, she was incredible and my hair is stunning. Nice to know I have two people to trust with being blonde. All the staff were amazing as always.
