I'm so happy I went to see Brooklyn in the salon today! She made my hair look gorgeous and silky smooth. Very nice atmosphere too!

Always friendly and welcoming.
Kerry always knows how to style my hair just how I like it and having had her cut my hair for a few years now I don’t even need to tell her what to do.
With the present situation with Covid the salon is clean and encourages clients to hand sanitise and use masks to protect themselves and others so it feels a very safe environment.

Kerry and her colleagues have made the salon feel like a safe place to be in the current climate. They were polite & professional as always. It’s always a pleasure to visit

I would definitely recommend Kerry for all hair types, for both men and women. She is extremely talented and puts everyone at ease making the whole experience a joy! Kerry has been my hairdresser for many years. I have had many styles and she has nailed every single one of them. She is a true North East treasure!

Fantastic hair lovely lady ?

This is my seventh visit to Kerry and I no longer have to tell her what I want doing as she always knows already! She is a hair magician and I highly recommend anyone who’s not visited the salon to do so. You will not be disappointed

Very professional man,made me feel comfortable upon meeting him,we discussed my hair and Andrew helped me choose colours for my high and low lights,the end result was lovely,I am very pleased with my hair.

Very friendly and helpful. I showed Andrew what I wanted and he gave me exactly that. He talked me through each step of my new hair and discussed which products to use, overall a great experience.

Lovely salon, friendly happy staff. Clean surroundings and great coffee. Really pleased with the service I received today. Andrew has always cut my hair perfectly, he is easy to talk to and great fun. I also got a very relaxing head massage whilst getting a hair treatment during the wash. What a treat!

Had my hair done today xmas eve. Totally pampered from start to finish. A lovely treat. Kerry and Brooke were lovely as usual. Rest of the team who are great had started xmas hols. Thanks for always looking after me.

Paula is a briliant Hairdresser, who I have been going to for years. I always enjoy my experience at Contemporary and am never dissapointed at the service I receive. Staff are friendly and can not do enough for you and Paula is just lovely and always knows just what my hair needs. Cant praise her enough.

She was lovely, my hair was very dark and she bleached it and put a silver grey toner on . I didn't like it. It wasn't the colour I expected. However I have put my own silver grey colour on and like it now but couldn't have done it without her bleaching it for me brilliant short pixie cut love it THANKS Kerry x be back to have another cut early February

Kerry was very good - she listened to what I said and told me she was going to change the style a little which she did. Very pleased with outcome

She was lovely did a really good hair cut

I had booked an appointment with Jenny, but when I arrived at the salon I was told she had left and that ***** would be doing my hair. I was a little taken a back as I would have thought I would have been contacted about this, as it was last minute and I had been booked in for weeks I went ahead.
I explained that I wanted to keep some roots for the ‘grown out look’, that Jenny blended fine highlights in. I have two colours alongside my natural brown, a cool blonde high-light and a mid blonde honey shade, and I asked for it to be toned down a little so ***** said he would put 2:1 through.
When washing the colour out a toner was put in, it was rinsed in not left on for anytime, I am not sure why -this doesn’t usually happen, it turned out this was also at my expense and added to the price.
***** then cut my hair, having discussed a simple trim/tidy up as I was happy with the length. I stated I wanted long fine layers.
At the end of my appointment I was happy with the cut and colour, ***** did a lovely blow dry.
However, when I got home to style my hair for the night out, I noticed the colour was very unevenly distributed, with harsh streaks through the sides. These were very blunt too -to the root, leaving a harsh line, despite asking for blended. When I have washed my hair the colour seems to have gone incredibly brassy, I’m not sure why as this has never happened? Also the ‘long’ layers have had about half the length chopped off.
Overall I’m really disappointed. This cost £93, more than I have ever paid for an appointment with Jenny and ultimately it’s poor quality. I’m not sure how/when or where I’ll be able to get this fixed as we approach the busy run up to Xmas, not to mention the expense.
I have been a customer of many years, having been a regular with Charlotte then Jenny, I feel this has been quite poor quality...

It was my first time there after being recommended by a friend. My hair is amazing and feels super healthy, I 100% will be returing in the near future and my stylist was amazing, she made me feel super comfortable (I don't go to salons often) and would recommend her to anyone, thank you!

it was raining and totally miserable outside but yet entering the salon and drew was full of life.. welcomed by all the staff super friendly.. only can unfortunately visit drew every few months due to living a few hundred miles away... don't worry I'll be back.

Eva is outstanding with her customer service, always, warm, welcoming and kind, with a great positive smile, Eva listens very well and always asks me what I would like and I love my visit with Eva and makes my hair look stunning. Thank you Eva..

Drew is an amazing stylist who knows instinctively what suits you best and his talent in styling is the reason I have followed him from his previous salon (even though its an hour round trip).

Drew is always a good laugh and he makes you feel totally at ease. I always leave the salon feeling a million dollars and get soo many compliments about my hair!

Andrew is new to Contemporary but he is so good that we followed him from the previous salon. He always does a great job of my hair and we have a good chinwag as well. He was extremely kind and considerate to me when I was seriously ill and helped me look good even if I didn't feel it. He's a star!

Andrew is pure talent, my wife and I have been going to him for years. He has never let us down. The salon was very nice, welcoming and clean. Would recommend fully.
