I saw Ammarah today after booking a last minute opening she had. She was so kind and friendly and really listened to what I was asking with my haircut. I didn’t feel rushed, great conversation and honestly, probably the best blow dry I’ve ever had! Will definitely be going back!

All I can say is everytime i go to get a haircut I have the best time Ammarah is the best always does a great job.

Sadaf was really nice and did an amazing job, one of the only stylists who actually met my standards. This is my second time booking with her and both times i was extremely happy.

I had my hair done by the lovely Sadaf and I’m so impressed with the result! My hair was quite challenging, with multiple colours, but she handled the balayage and colour correction with so much care and skill. She made sure to keep it healthy throughout the process, and I felt completely at ease. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back!

I had a hair session with Sadaf today . It was for highlights. The treatment was very good and I was really pleased with the end result.
I’ve always wanted this shade and she delivered. Finally I got the satisfaction of getting the end result which eluded me for so long.

This is the third time coming to Ammarah for hair colouring as she really knows how to treat South Asian hair.
She listened carefully, gave honest advice, and was able to carry out a beautifully blended balayage just as requested. So happy with the final result and such a lovely person.

Really like the stylist and she is fab at treating my hair and does a great job, so I feel bad for this one criticism but hope it’ll be taken constructively, definitely not personally as I really like her!

In the beginning a brief massage was thrown into the wash, you were consulted about whether you wanted a straight or wavy blow dry and finish and left with a satisfied smile.
Now you get what you get and aren’t asked anything and even on quieter days, you feel rushed out.
Most disheartening is I can never leave the salon and then meet friends or go anywhere right after an appointment because I’m covered in stains and no effort is made to remove them or provide me with something sufficient to remove them.
I appreciate their prices are reasonable so if you don’t pay a million dollars, don’t expect to look a million dollars..but leaving with obvious, embarrassing marks and hoping not to see anyone on your way home, is somewhat upsetting.

Ammarah is a great member of city looks I love how attentive she is and talks to you about you hair and advises you aswell

I really like the hairstylists and the salon is friendly and nice but the last couple of times, I’ve noticed a stark contrast in how it was when I first started going to now.

Initially hair was treated and washed with a quick massage thrown in, dried and styled after being asked whether you wanted it straight or wavy, any stains removed. You’d leave with a smile.

Lately the washing is rushed, hair dried crisp and straightened, regardless of it that’s what you wanted and most upsetting is you are made to leave while covered in stains.

I’ve been forced to change plans a couple of times and rush home to get rid of them and to add product to my hair to soften it, hoping not to bump into anyone along the way because of that.
I feel sad and torn saying this as I really do like everyone there, they are friendly and kind and their prices are very reasonable and if you don’t pay a million dollars, you can’t expect to leave feeling a million dollars.
But to leave feeling upset and like you’ve been rushed out even when it’s not a busy time, is quite disappointing.
I hope this will be considered.

This salon was very accommodating, I booked a same day appointment for a dry cut with Sadaf after having received a number of positive recommendations of the salon from friends. Sadaf was great and did exactly what I asked of her and we also had a lovely conversation. I will definately be going back again and recommending the salon to all my family and friends. Thanks. I booked an appointment with City Looks not knowing how it was going to turn out as I hadn’t really had a haircut in a long time and didn’t really know any salons outside my usual go to which is now barely open so I wasn’t expecting much. However I was pleasantly surprised with my experience, Sadaf was lovely to chat to and gave me a great cut! I ended up getting a wash and dry which came out to a decent price overall and the quality was excellent. Very happy with results- will be returning for future cuts :)

I booked a wash, cut and blow dry with Ammarah.
Being a hijabi she took great care to make me comfortable. I had booked an appointment and did not have to wait at all. I always enjoy getting my hair done with Ammarah.

Came to the salon twice with my daughter first visit was really good and she made us feel welcome.
She did waxing and the eyebrows really good.
Went second time round my face wax and eye brows was good but she left few little hairs in the middle of the brows.
My daughters under arm she burnt her skin and she kept going over the same area which she struggle with her underarm for a few days as it was red and burnt now it has a scar.
