I was let down by child care, so had to bring my little one with me (she’s two) and they let us go upstairs and play etc. Never felt embarrassed or like I was putting them out. They were so kind and lovely towards my little one too!!

Cut and colour was amazing too!!

Emily is so good at offering sensible and informative advice whenever I’m wavering about what to do with my hair! I’m indecisive but need a push sometimes even if the advice is to just tweak it for a subtle change. Always leave feeling confident and very happy! Trust the ladies at Shine, experience tells!

So pleased with the colour and finish by Alice today - the cooler tone was just what I’d asked for. The process of going ‘au naturel’ (grey/silver!) gracefully, after years of coloured hair, is being made so easy thanks to Alice’s advice and guidance. Loving the look - thanks Alice!

I bought several pictures of what I wanted to achieve. I know the photo’s were models, but it gave ***** the kind of look I wanted to achieve. She said it was possible, that my style was not that dissimilar at the moment. I explained I wanted a choppy spikey cut, no parting as I usually have. Directly ***** went to commence blow drying, she asked me which side was my parting! I got the impression she hadn’t really understood my needs. So unhappy about the experience. Constructive feedback : Be honest with your clients, don’t say you can achieve something if you can’t. They will respect you more. £139 sadly wasted.

I have been using the services of Shine for over 10 years. I found the staff on all levels, from reception to staylis to be highly professional, welcoming & friendly.
The actual salon is beautifully decorated, always neat & clean. You can sense that the staff is working in harmony & is well managed. All of that translates to a total great experience for the customers. You could easily place Shine hair salon in London with the top salons. The managment is always with their hand on the fashion pulse, sending the staff for courses always seeking to improve. Amazing to find such a place in a small town.

Made to feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. Shine has much improved over the years. You are made to feel like a guest and not just another client. The salon has been updated giving you a feeling of light and space. One of the highlights for me was the lovely electric seats at the wash basin so you can elevate your legs whilst enjoying your hair wash and massage. Zoe did amazing job with my highlights and really transformed my hair. I love it. She blow dried and styled my hair beautifully for my night out and still looked good two days later. I had a lovely relaxing morning at the salon and highly recommend it. Leigh and her team have worked hard to make their guests feel special when they arrive to the moment they leave, which makes this salon exceptional. Well done all xx
