I cannot rate MaryAnne highly enough. She does my hair but also does my 8 year old daughter's thick, red, curly hair which is no easy task. She is patient, compassionate but more importantly skilled and i would recommend her and in fact any of her colleagues, to anyone.

I’ve not got the easiest hair and have just moved house, so my first visit to Alanis after over 20 years at previous salon. Alanis was great! Really clear consultation with great advise. Lovely pamper at the sink, then great cut and finish. I’ll defo be back!

I’ve been going to this fabulous salon, Purdy and Power, since they opened and they are all amazing! The girls are ALL lovely and have a genuine interest in all their clients. I’ve had a few re-styles and various colors over the years and always left absolutely over the moon! Just had my lockdown locks re-vamped and could not be happier. - they have just taken 10 years off me!! 100% recommend.

This was my first visit to Purdy & Power and as well as being very happy with my haircut, I also found the salon to be spotlessly clean and tidy, the staff very friendly and helpful, and there was an overall pleasant atmosphere.
Alan is had transformed my hair over the last 2 years and never stops to mamas me how wonderful she makes me look

Charlotte coloured my hair to a fabulous standard - the colour is amazing .
She also cut my sons hair who is 4 and did a great job. She’s very polite and always listens.
However, the razor did cut my sons neck and it wasn’t her fault - small clip was missing so was faulty. Charlotte apologised immediately But it wasn’t her fault.
I saw her inform the manager and no one came to speak to us!
Regarding pricing I could not understand why the Salon is charging £2 for PPE when no staff wear aprons and they don’t change their personal masks on each customer so what is the charge for?
There is a temperature check but I’ve noticed on different occasions not all customers are checked.
Chairs are cleaned for each customer which is good but there is rather a lot of people in the salon at one time

Very sorry about the clipper nipping your sons neck, we have now checked over our equipment since. Management felt they didn't need to deal with the matter as Charlotte already had.
With the current circumstances the cost of all cleaning products and PPE has risen. With regards to change of personal masks they do not need to be changed between clients, only after removing them to eat or drink. Aprons are optional, they are not a legal requirement to wear as a salon we choose not to wear them.
The charge is for; disposable cups, face masks, visors, dividers, anti-bacterial products, hand sanitiser and so on.
If you have experienced a customer to not be temperature checked they may have already been previously and just popped to the shop so no need to check again. I assure you that they have to have them checked before entering as our door is left locked.
