After many disappointments at many other salons I now wouldn’t go anywhere else than to John at The Head Gardener. He’s great!

I was nervous about going to the salon after some damage to my hair causing me to put off getting my hair cut for a while but the team at head gardener made me feel very welcome and I was really pleased with the results. Thank you to Natasha, Alison and Linzie, I really appreciate it.

Although the lady was friendly I felt she didn’t listen to what my sister needed, has a very thick head of hair that goes into her eyes a lot and a restyle suggestion would have been helpful. I did give her an indication to this but felt it wasn’t listened to. I think maybe a bit scared to take on a challenge. Was a pleasant atmosphere though and staff were very nice.

Took my two children 5 and 3 for cuts today. Rebecca was absolutely brilliant with them (and with me, as I was decidedly frazzled when we arrived) . The boys both love their haircuts and I am so grateful to Rebecca for her patience and professionalism. The kids were immediately put at ease when we arrived and I so appreciated staff taking time to say hi to them. The salon has a lovely atmosphere and everyone went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. Brilliant salon experience from first contact. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend.

Kind and. caring are not always words we associate with the hairdressing industry, but these qualities which Emma-Jayne has in abundance are among the many things which set the Head Gardiner apart and most hairdressers and salons would go well to emulate. Rebecca coloured my hair today and I wanted a little change of a little light framing around my face, we chatted alot about doing it and the choices I had. I have known for a few months I wanted to do this but was nervous, but I'm extremely happy that we decided to go ahead with it and to just do a little and subtle lighting. It turned out lovely and really excited for next appointment to add in a few more. Thank you for making me feel so relaxed about doing this...love the change and to Linzie for styling it so beautifully.

Good visit today, John did an excellent job colouring and cutting my hair. He listened to what I was hoping to achieve after growing my hair for some time, hoping to get a good shape back into my style. The result was great and was just what I was looking for, very pleased. So Thankyou John, always a pleasure.

I had a fringe trim with Rebecca and a month ago I had a cut and style with John. I was very happy with both cuts. Both John and Rebecca listened to what I wanted and understood that I know what my hair will and will not do!

Salon staff are super friendly and attentive. David is the best barber in the country.

Friendly and felt relaxed when i went in and especially getting my hair washed and head massage

John fits every part of you mission statement hanging on the wall! He is genuinely friendly and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. He is a great stylist and the best I’ve experienced with layering. Most of all he listens and advises wisely.

Going through the transition of bleach to gray.. I don’t ever feel pressured into having my hair coloured which is great. Had a lovely cut yesterday. Natasha understands what I’m hoping to achieve and always delivers!

Delighted with both my beautifully cut and styled hair and my in-salon experience. From start to finish time was taken to listen and meet my preferences.

Linzie colours and cuts my hair beautifully. I needed a good trim as I had let it grow and she neatened me up very well!
Also had a wonderful head massage with shampooing. Sorry, don't know the young lady's name!
Staff attentive, offering drinks and checking on me several times.
