After 6 weeks I went along in need of a cut, style and colour advice and as usual Sarah and Maggie sorted me out so now it's a happy hair day.

I visited for the first time today. I was very impressed by the attentive and professional service. I am delighted with my hair and will be returning!

I've been going to the hairdressing company for over two years and they are absolutely great. I work mainly night shifts so sometimes I have to cancel and rearrange if I'm covering shifts which they never get annoyed about.

But the thing I really like is how well they cater for my sulphate allergy. They actually advised me when I first went it might be sulphites and it was! They use sulphate free products and they don't mind that I can't have a full blow dry (makes my skin react) it's so good that they are so accommodating to my hair and scalp needs and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't know that I had the sulphate allergy! So they have also saved my skin from lots of problems. Chynna cuts my hair and does a fab job even though I'm boring and just have a simple cut. Would 100000% recommend.

Thank you for my highlights Sarah. I absolutely love them. The colour is brilliant and also thanks you for your advice on the shampoo, conditioner and maintenance of the hair colour. Your 'rough' dry was a lot less rough than expected. It looked great.

It is always a pleasure to come to this salon. The staff are friendly and welcoming and my hair is always cut very well and highlights are predictably done well and how I would like them.Situated in one of the nicest roads in the centre of Hitchin, with parking easily accessible,it is a great place for a reliably good restyle,cut,colour or highlights.

I have been here about five times now and while I was initially really pleased, the last few times I felt like my hair cut was rushed. I always make a point of saying exactly how I want my hair cut but I have felt the last few times that not enough has been taken off and after about 3 weeks I am ready for another cut. It never seems to last very long. At the end of my last appointment I wasn't even shown the back of my hair in the mirror so I had no idea how it looked at the back till I got home. The stylist rushed off to another client.
On the positive side I have always been very happy with the colour though.
Another hit and miss thing is who washes your hair. If it's a stylist it's fine but if it's the younger, trainee staff I sometimes end up covered in water or have endured quite painful hair washing and a so-called relaxing head massage which was anything but relaxing from a male member of staff.

Been going to THC Hitchin for about 3 years. Love their products and hair colouring (Aveda). Have my hair coloured every 6 weeks and it still looks amazing! Stylists are great. I usually have Sophie or Chyna. Also brilliant value for money and love that they have a loyalty card! Free blow dry after 10 visits! Highly recommend the salon.

It was my first visit to the Hitchin salon and I was very impressed. The salon is clean and modern, the staff were all friendly and the products used (aveda) had a beautiful fresh, natural smell. I am extremely pleased with my cut (by Maggie) - she listened to what I wanted and made a few suggestions which resulted in a cut I'm really happy with.

Really pleased with my cut and blow dry with Jordan yesterday. Best haircut I've had in ages! Left really happy and she gave me lots of great tips for styling and blow drying as well.

Tint regrowth went smoothly as always with Maggie. The hair was then roughly dried by one of the juniors. Although she asked me if the hair was dried enough and it was, I left feeling I needed to get home asap to 'sort' it! The hair was all over the place and 'very rough' not really a look to have leaving a Salon. I totally accept that I should have said something to Maggie but failed to do so- my fault.

The salon is really lovely and in a great location. The products are really good. Really impressed with Maggie. She grasps straight away any new request with hair. She is confident andI I always can trust her. She has such a lovely way about her too. Just the right touch. When I talked about colour in my hair she was honest and advised that I did not need it yet. Not many hairdressers would have been so honest. Glad I found this lovely salon.

Excellent customer service and the owners are very professional and friendly. Changed from another Hitchin based hairdressers and couldn't be more pleased.

I really like going to this salon, not just because the lovely Maggie has rescued my awful hair and still cuts it well now, but they all make you feel welcome and special. They are not ridiculous price wise and the products are good for your hair too.

I started going to this salon about two years ago and have always had Chynna. Honestly, she is the best hairdresser I have ever had! She knows exactly what you want and how to do it and i have never walked out of the salon unhappy with my hair. Chynna is amazing at colouring too, i've never had so many compliments on my hair before! The salon overall is a lovely one & everyone is so nice! I couldn't reccomend the hair dressing company enough :)

Visited for the first time so was a bit nervous- especially as was my first ever hair colouring! Chynna did a great cut and Sarah really did an excellent job on my balayage highlights. Have had lots of compliments already! Would definitely recommend!!

Had a really positive experience today with China and Sarah. Lovely cut and colour was perfect in the end. It was not as expected at the beginning but Sarah saw that it was not and perfected the colour beautifully to what was expected from the consultation. Really pleased with the whole experience and would absolutely reccomend them to friends and family, thank you!

I always enjoy going back to see Maggie at The Hairdressing Company in Hitchin as she knows what I want and always cuts my hair brilliantly. The atmosphere there is usually really friendly too, though I have to say that this time things looked a bit tense amongst the stylists. That's why I gave it three stars for the atmosphere. Perhaps it was a one-off?
Despite that Maggie didn't complaint when I arrived 5min late and even did a plait for my 3 year old daughter who loved it! I'll certainly be going back, for my daughters haircut too, but hopefully the atmosphere will be more pleasant next time, like in the past.

Always nervous on a first visit to a hairdressers but THC staff were friendly and have made me feel like a new woman!! Love the colour and cut definitely going back!
