Emilee listened to my needs and did a fantastic hair cut.
My only criticism is that i had to wait 10 minutes beyond my appointment time.
Running my own business , every minute of my time is important. If i can be informed in advance if there is any delay i can use the time more effectively.
Very happy with the cut and hair wash ( from one of the apprentices who was very friendly).

I came looking for a nice curly cut with an expert. Lucy was introduced as the one who can help. I asked for nicely sitting curly that is also would be nice if I straighten it out. I haven’t noticed that my hair was chopped off in so many short lengths that couldn’t look any more than a messy nest sitting on my head. At first I didn’t realise that until I walked out waiting for it to dry and maybe it would be better later but it was only messy so i decided to wash it and straighten it and wear it straight till it grows up but I was shocked that it looked absolutely chopped off the layers were so obviously not integrated together and super short on above that couldn’t even get out with it!!

I felt so sad and disappointed and regretted the whole visit..
i went back but they said there’s nothing they can do for a fix and refund me back which is nothing compared to my hair being ruined just before my holiday.

Time after time Grace has consistently created glamorous hairstyles for me. Leaving your salon after my session with Grace, always feels like a red carpet moment! Thank you Grace!

I came in for a fresh cut and colour, but honestly, I wasn’t feeling like myself that day. I’d just lost my cat and wasn’t my usual chatty self. Emilee was so warm and compassionate — she made me feel completely comfortable without any pressure to talk. She worked her magic, and I walked out feeling refreshed, renewed, and a little more like me again. Thank you, Emilee, for not just the beautiful hair, but the kindness too. 💛

The only negative feedback I have is
The atmosphere
Some music would just elevate and bring ina. Nice vibe
Nothing wild
So pop music or some jazz in the 80s and 90s
Old Skool beats
Chilled out vibes would be great
Also the new art they have in the sinks areas is weird
Some vintage Vidal Sassoon prints would be cool

Laura is such a skilled colourist and a truly lovely person! Absolutely thrilled with my hair.

Emilee gave me a full and thorough consultation! She took ages trying to decipher what I wanted. My colour is so important to me. I didn’t want ash, orange, brassy, or pearl blonde. Emilee worked on my hair for hours. Hiding the grey and silver, than working on the underside where I still had a lot of dark. We settled on a variety of low lights to blend into my own silvery blonde. Emilee was also mindful of giving me a service that was as low maintenance for me as possible. The result was One happy new customer. Emilee is such a delightful, sweet personality too. I returned a week later to get a few more lowlights and my hair now is garnering so many compliments. I will own up to not always being an easy client. Emilee more than managed me and my expectations with such grace.

I’ve been looking for a salon in Bishops Stortford on and off over the last 3 years and I finally gave M Salon a go. I visited for a treatment and consultation to break the ice with a stylist and see how I felt in the environment. I felt comfortable and at ease, so booked in my follow up appt which truly was a full works situation, with outgrown blonde (brassy & yellow) highlights, and dry/brittle ends.

When I arrived, I let Emilee know I’m quite nervous after a poor experience elsewhere a good 5 years ago and I would prefer that we took things slow and that she over communicated throughout the process, what’s involved, and be direct in managing my expectations with results. Emilee was amazing and really put me at ease by saying “we’re both new to each other and we can take it slow it together” and thanked me for letting her know.

The service and experience Emilee offered was exceptional. I felt comfortable and confident in her knowledge of blonde damaged hair, products, and what was achievable.

The end result is just stunning and I’m so happy with how it’s turned out. I finally feel in love with my long luscious locks again and can’t wait to come back for my next visit.

Overall, all of the girls who work there who I met are lovely and welcoming. It can often feel intimidating going into a salon, especially when your hair is in dyer need of a refresh, but I didn’t feel that here. Verity is also a lovely and I enjoyed chatting with her whilst she washed my hair.
