On impulse, while in Winchester a couple of months ago, I popped in to see if they’d had any cancellations as I wanted to chop my hair off - luck was on my side and Mathieu had an appointment that evening…I now won’t go anywhere else, despite having to travel for over an hour to see him. Today we went even shorter with my hair and I LOVE it. For the first time in years I feel sexy, I don’t want to hide, I want everyone to see my hair. Thank you Mathieu, you’re a legend.

After a couple of months of successfully trimming my own fringe (thanks, YouTube!), I foolishly decided reshaping the sides would be just as easy.

Spoiler alert: just because it’s on YouTube doesn’t mean it should be done at home!

After a mild panic and an emergency phone call, I was told James would be able to rescue my hacked-into hair. Thankfully, he did. He didn’t laugh, was incredibly kind and understanding, listened patiently to my tale of woe, and expertly fixed my DIY disaster.

My hair is now back to its gorgeous 70s shag, and I’m absolutely delighted with it.

Always a mellow experience with Keira and very pleased with the cut. It’s a lot to pay for a hair cut but I know it’s the price these days.

Had my first perm, and I absolutely love it.
Salon was quiet and clean, easy to work whilst getting the treatment, good wifi too, and great coffee too!

Nice environment but the highlights took longer than ever experienced so parking can be an issue - and in the end my request wasn’t followed through. I will need to review the colour & cut again quite soon. It was quite costly.

I’ve been going to this hair salon for a couple of decades now, and have never wanted to go elsewhere. It is situated in a wonderfully old building but has a contemporary air that works very well. Kerry H has many loyal clients, including me. The reason is that she is very talented but never presumes to know better than the client. She listens and understands what the client wants before going ahead. She is easy to talk to but also reads when a client prefers to be quieter. It is no wonder that she is booked up months in advance! The Aveda products are lovely too.

Mathieu's work is pure artistry! I've been a client of Mathieu for a long time and I never stop receiving compliments, he's simply the best stylist and nobody compares!

Great colour and cut with James

The stylist colourist was lovely & professional and I would certainly come back. But the overall colour is not quite as I hoped for, - it was a correction of darker roots after a previous block /light colour which I liked (I explained I liked the colour I had) - but the overall look now is a bit darker than I had hoped. It nevertheless needed doing going forwards and will be far easier to maintain . Thank you.
