I used Sonia for a blowdry came back but saw someone else and on my 3rd visit in the last month I asked for Sonia again my hair always looks amazing after she’s worked her magic. Very friendly and accommodating. The receptionist was amazing on the phone and in-store too remembering me. Shampoo girls are best by far offering massage and leg rest and very positive.

It was great to see Jordon again - I came all the way from south London as I can’t find a stylist down there that I can just let do their thing and it always look good and fresh. The only element that disappointed was that the assistant didn’t offer to give me a head massage with my conditioner.

As always Maki was great at cutting my hair and at advising me what would work for my hair and what wouldn't. I went on a day when the salon wasn't that busy and felt very safe, which seems just as important at the moment.

It was great to go into Hobbs on Friday. It wasn't crowded the doors are open and the ceilings are very high so it felt well ventilated. Just very pleased with my haircut and I have just decided to live with the virus and have my life back. I adore Maki and the service she has given me over the many years I’ve frequented the salon has always been attentive and professional.
The salon itself, from appearances it has gone done hill over the last few years. It doesn’t look like there is any investment from the owners and the service has been affected as such.
With Covid - new rules means certain things have to be change to meet regulations made by the government however it appears to me that the salon has taken an opportunistic approach during this. The towels are now disposable and why it may seem this is due to Covid, we both knot that this was something the salon was doing before Covid. Other salons and gyms still offer towel service. This completely cheapens the place and overall feel of the salon brand to me. Originally viewing Hob as a high brand of luxury salon, this imagine has been reduced and removed in the last few years. I only stay because of the staff.

I was so nervous before coming to the salon as I had never had any treatments done from here before but I am glad I booked when I did. When I came in from start to finish I felt like a queen all the way from being greeted by the wonderful receptionist, to getting my hair washed, massaged and treated for dry and damaged hair by a really lovely student therapist there followed by seeing a lovely colourist for some advice on what I can do for my hair on my next visit and then finally getting my hair cut and blow dried by this wonderful being Sonia who, right from the consultation, made me feel so comfortable and calmed my nerves right down and on top of that did a fantastic job on my hair and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and she was very mindful to check in with me the lengths that I wanted her to cut off so she didn’t go too short which I really appreciated. This salon very much exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend to everyone. Hob salon is amazing, the salon is very modern and upbeat and the people I had encounters with have clearly got hearts of gold and all the other staff looked happy too.
