Charley gave me a fantastic experience today with my holiday ready package, brow, bikini wax, with gels on my hands and toes.

This was my first time at Avant Garde but I really enjoyed the experience. Everybody was lovely and polite but not overbearing. It was a calm and relaxed atmosphere and Emily was amazing! She listened to what I wanted though I wasn’t even sure myself she executed it perfectly and made me feel at ease. We had good conversation but it wasn’t constant and loud, I appreciated this as sometimes struggle in salons with the noise. I came to this salon with a huge task, looking for a colour specialist to transform my DARK Cherry red box dye hair with lots of build up looking to get back to blonde eventually. I was politely recommended to find an colour expert by another salon as understandably there is a risk with removing this colour without just covering it with dark brown or waiting for it to grow out naturally. I knew there was potential for huge breakage and thought it would impossible. It was meant to be as I found Avant Garde and Charlie! Charlie rose to the challenge and not only removed the red but she got me to a very gorgeous strawberry blonde, hair intact and feeling GREAT and looking to getting to blonde even sooner than expected. She did a thorough consultation and discussed all possible outcomes, and spent a whole day with me in the salon to achieve a fantastic result. I really cannot praise her enough, her skills and knowledge saved my hair and it is so healthy. Charlie is lovely to chat about all sorts, have a laugh and I enjoy my visits with her so much. I have now had two sessions- I trust her completely and I’m so glad I found her and this salon! My hair is always finished and styled beautifully, and she recommends fantastic products to keep my hair shiny and feeling wonderful. All the staff are lovely and helpful, even from my initial call to book my consultation they knew exactly what I meant and who I needed and were so friendly. The salon itself is so peaceful and pretty. Always offered drinks and biscuits, and even a blanket! Very chilled vibe with gorgeous decor. I cannot recommend this salon enough. Charlie THANK YOU! The salon is spacious and warm with lovely designs touches, especially the water wall. The massage chairs are very relaxing, and the coffee is excellent.

Really enjoyed my first Avant Garde hair salon experience. Diane listened and advised as we talked through suitable style ideas to work towards. As my hair had become quite dry from weeks in the sun and the use of heated appliances I was offered a steam treatment which certainly resulted in much softer healthier looking hair. The chair massage was a treat too!
Finding a new stylist is always a concern but I was impressed with the professional approach and knowledge given by Diane. Pleased with the outcome and will certainly rebook.
